I really hope the customization for player ship is well thought out, from the color scheme on the interior and exterior to the decorative bannors and room placement for companions.

The only comments so far I've read about this announcement was the usual hate but I'm excited about the news and intrigued they'd get this right when Cryptic didn;t with STO.

Love the idea but we'll see how its implemented before i decide. Sick to death of the hatred going toward this game from unreasonable others though. The amount of hatred and fear mongering is childish and extremely unhealthy minded.

I like that it's player ships...leave the star destroyers for the guilds.  Not sure about the art lacking comment.  It's Star Wars...since when were the space ships glamorous and cool?  I'm looking forward to this.

Until they have a "By the way all your stuff stored in your ship was lost due to it exploding into little pieces."

Would seem kinda weird to have all your stored items just magically reappear in another ship :s

I like this idea no more housing on planets. And it looks like we may get space flight as well. Guilds should be allowed to own the larger capitol ships though which would allow you to dock your own ship with.

As for flying a capitol ship your going to need alot of active members.

If previous Bioware games are anything to go by the 'customisation' options available here will be trivial. Players are going to be expecting free item placement within their ships so it had better not just be a few variable options (a.k.a ME2) or an awful hook system (a.k.a LOTRO).

With their budget though hopefully they can prove me wrong...

The original unreal or unreal tournament had better texture packs, man this game is going to look old with it's cheap looking graphics. The whole immersion thing has to do with looks/graphics so it will be tough to get into a game that looks bad.just look at the NPC holding the light sabre,it looks real cheap ,like something out of a nintendo 64 game.

Now I kinda rip'd on the sith video. But this I'm exicted about. Its something people aways ask for, but Its almost never given. And is always, yes always towards the top in polls of what you'd like to have in a MMO. Player housing.

I'm hoping its more than just  player housing, but more along the lines of a crafting center, a bank, a R&R center, a form of travel. But most of all I hope it customizable, at least in part.

You have to let us make it our own. Think X-Com in simplicity.

Remember the more you let us make it our own, the more we see our experience as unique, and the more we become attached to our...your world.

Thnx Bioware

I love the concept of your ship being your home. In SWG, I had both a ship and a house but I never really  thought of my house as my home...only my ship. I could see many ways of making this a really intregal part of the story and of the overall experience. Hope that Bioware sees this too. Looking good so far.

By making the ship the house, they neatly tie a few things together. Should be cool. Hopefully works better than the housing in LOTR. Upgrades should be interesting. If your ship takes damage, that could suck if you lose your upgrades though. "Sir! The enemy photon torpedo just totalled the jacuzzi!" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The b*tards! I just paid for that!"
