They were looking at copying the RVR concepts from DAOC/WAR. From what I understand a few of the TOR devs have been actually playing Warhammer Online to get a feel for the RVR there.
Might look sweet until you find out your movement without that evironment is extremely limited with very big chucks of landscape 'blocked off' by invisible bounding boxes. Would have been nice if they made a character run through the video.

Dear God in Heaven, play DAOC instead, Bioware. Back to the drawing boards and make neutral faction - so you have Empire, Republic and "Neutral" mercenaries

Ah crap! Does that mean that TOR PVP is going to be using knock back attacks to throw your opponents into boiling lava?
@Clock - Can I borrow your crystal ball? I've lost mine and yours seems so accurate. Really, I'll just take your word as law. We'll only be able to explore .01% of what's shown here; everything else will be blocked off. Hell, I don't think we'll even be able to jump. TOR WILL be a co-op RPG after all, not a real MMO. Right?
Short but sweet
Fri May 21 2010 3:16PM ReportI need a towel.
Fri May 21 2010 4:00PM ReportI hope Hoth is more than just a "stopover" location. I'd like to spend more time there than just a few levels doing quests.
Fri May 21 2010 4:37PM ReportAs far as i know it sounds more like a "PvP Area" - something like the Battlegrounds or the RvR Zones in DAoC.

OMG...this is the best lucas Arts has to offer so far. I am seeing better from free online games at the moment.
