    Bioware has released the latest video developer diary for Star Wars: The Old Republic. In it, devs discuss 'designing the light side' and how they are working hard to represent the classic Jedi experience for players.     An interview has cropped up at DarthHater.com with SWTOR's James Ohlen. The interview focuses on advanced classes (all 16 of them!), PvP issues and space combat. The eight standard classes and the the sixteen advanced classes were designed to give players more game play choices and to diversify experiences. Each base-class player will have two advanced classes to choose from as the game progresses with each path yielding different options and skills.

    Star Wars: The Old Republic devs have revealed the advanced classes for the Jedi Knights: Sentinel and Guardian. Sentinels are dual-lightsabre wielding dynamos and Guardians protect the vulnerable. In addition to a description of each of the advanced classes, Bioware has produced a new video showing off the Jedi Knight in action.

  • Playable Species Revealed

    Star Wars: The Old Republic devs have announced four playable species for the game. Non-human species for players to choose from include: Red-skinned Sith Purebloods, near-human Miraluka, Mirialans, and Zabraks. Each of these races will excel at a given class: Sith Purebloods as Sith Warriors; Miralukas as Jedi Knights; Mirialans as Jedi Consulars; and Zabraks as Sith Inquisitors.
