Originally posted by bigsmiff So what? Now you're not even allowed to have a signature of a game you like without being accused of fanboism when you have a bad opinion about some game? For what I've seen is mostly people talking that they don't like the community of GW2 (which still doesn't exist) because there's too many fanbois on this forum. But I really don't see that much of fanbois (it's mostly the same people every time) as much as I see people who complaint about GW2 community or shit like that... I played SWTOR and the only fun part was the leveling, after that it was boring and I had nothing to do in that game. I really wish people would stop saying stuff like you just did because someone said he dosen't like this game... I'm sorry it's so delicate and swtor players feelings got hurt by someone saying he doesn't like the game. "Happiness is not a destination. It is a method of life." ![]() |

once GW2 comes out, so many will leave TOR that it will definitely need a cash shop when it goes F2P. |

I would expect if they ever did go F2P and added a cash shop it would include.. little pets, and other little gimmicks to get people to play longer. |

Originally posted by korent1991 Actually I was doing it to point out how ridiculous it is to expect people to put a "My Opinion" disclaimer on a forum post. It goes without saying that we are all posting opinions on this board. Some things shouldn't have to be spelled out. NGE killed SWG. Get over it like the rest of us did in 2005. |

Originally posted by ktanner3 Well, it's not rare that people on this forum use opinions like they are facts and use it in such context. Then it escolates into a thread war because someone didn't use that context :D
EDIT: deleted the replies - takes a hell lot of a scrolling :D "Happiness is not a destination. It is a method of life." ![]() |

Originally posted by korent1991 I'll grant you that there is the occasional " This game sucks, that is FACT!" but I don't think everyone else should have to idiot proof their posts just because some posters here didn't learn such basic concepts in elementary school. Anyways I think we've derailed the main topic enough. Back to the regularly scheduled TOR bashing...... NGE killed SWG. Get over it like the rest of us did in 2005. |

Has EA ever done F2P? As far as I know (I could be wrong) EA is more in the habit of letting the games linger on as long as there's some positive cashflow - and to shut the servers down if there isn't.
I maintain this List of Sandbox MMORPGs. Please post or send PM for corrections and suggestions. |

Originally posted by bigsmiff Me too. I just don't see anyone in game saying "Man I can't wait for GW2!" I've never been much into fantasy and any MMO that has to use a charge shop instead of subs is a big warning sign for me. Plus that game is clearly catering to PVPers and those type of communities I steer clear of. NGE killed SWG. Get over it like the rest of us did in 2005. |

If they put in a cash shop, they'd get flamed for copying Anet. |

Before I unsubbed, back in February, I posted on SWTOR's website this same question and several times it was taken down... I even had a poll right before the end of Beta and more than half predicted by the end of the year... We'll see how it plays out. Unfortunately Bioware is currently attempting to manipulate subscription numbers by offering free weekends. |

Originally posted by RefMinor Ha, pretty funny. Although I was one of those that thought the story aspect was the main redeeming quality of SWTOR. I liked choosing the most rude answer and watching my character belittle everybody in the game. Sorry but I found it amusing. Of course, the lack of pretty much every other MMO feature was its downfall for me. It was basically a one month sub for me (which came with the purchase of game, so really it was no different than buying the box no sub for me).
