Originally posted by sanosukex Yep. No mention of current subscribers. No wonder Bioware has been completely silent since they bragged about 1 million registrations. Should be obvious why the official forums are filled with the dwindling player base screaming for server merges and transfers if they won't talk about the current active subscribers. What a disaster.

Also just because some people hate the game doesn't mean the majority do, people seem to think their opinion is the only one that counts and if they don't like something then everyone else shouldn't like it also... |

Originally posted by sanosukex No they had over 2 million units the first month, after Jan 20th the numbers diped down to 1.7 million, so from Jan 20th till now they have 1.7 million active subs. 2 million people where subed from Dec. 20th to Jan 20th 300k+ did not resub after the first free month but 1.7 million did.
The number are as of now. |

Originally posted by grounnn Yes. That would be a record retention rate for an MMO after the first month. No MMO has had close to that percentage of their initial subs re-up for another month...85% retention is unheard of in the industry. The real trick is actually getting subs to increase after the first 3 months, very few MMOs have done this. |

All I got from this is they sold 2 million copies... And there was 1.7 million people who used their free 30 days. I highly doubt there is 1.7 million paying subs at this very moment. Don't forget you need to setup a sub in order to use the 30 free days. |

If the numbers were counting subscribers in the first month, it wouldn't have dropped below their box sales.
For there to be a 300,000 subscriber drop, it has to have happened AFTER the subs kicked in.
This 1.7 million number is definitely after the subs kicked in. If it was for the first month it would be 2 million active subscribers.

Good PR/Attorneys are worth their weight in gold...or spin anyway. "Generated" includes dead accounts. It doesn't matter if it's active now just as long as it was generated. Lol.
