Honestly, why do diectors and story writers rape already good stories/movies to make it into their own imbreed story?

Well, the evening before the attack on the original Death Star, Luke was nervouse as hell. He wasn't sure if he'd make it back alive. So to relax he had a few too many drinks in the rebel base bar. Leia dropped by the bar to wish the pilots well before the big battle. She saw Luke getting pretty smashed at the bar and joined him for a couple drinks. Neither of them could hold their liquer well and...after talking and drinking for a while...one thing led to another and...Lets just say Luke began the film as a boy and ended it as a man!!
