So after working for EA, you want to leave the continent to work for someone else in a completely different culuture?

... Yeah, sounds about right.

Good luck to him!

This is very big news! I think this is the guy a former pee-on TOR dev told me that killed TOR. He said when this guy started everything changed. They use to have dev focus groups where they discussed features and design and they had started coding on many many things but in came Zoeller and he had them gut the game for reasons unexplained. He told the devs that it no longer mattered what their opinions where.

The guy I talked to said they protested big time but were just as ignored as the beta testers.

Zoeller leaving is big big news but unfortunately it's still too late to save the game I bet. Wonder if he really left to go see the world or if he got fired.

Well future changes in the game will be the reality check.

Hopefully it's best for everyone: him, the people he worked with and us the players.

Now I wish Daniel Erickson and  Gabe Amatangelo would either change their mindset or find positions elsewhere that along James Ohlen the producer. Now that would be something.

Erickson is the real bad guy, he needs to go. Georg was merely irritating, Erickson is the one steering the ship into the dirt.

You want to throw away your money developing something stupid, go ahead.

Who will take his place? Did they even make an announcement?

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.

Good riddance.  TOR has a lot of problems, but this dude was one of them.

He actually cemented my decision to unsubscribe when I saw him trolling on the official forum like a 10-year-old because his ego got bruised by a fan saying he was playing favorites with the classes.  Of the hundreds of unaddressed threads raising legitimate issues about combat balance, that was the one he chose to respond to.  It was a total WTH moment for me.

Good on him to have enough talent and the connections to get where he did, but he possessed none of the professionalism a developer of a game with a $200+ million budget should have.  He was a geek on a power trip.

Good luck in SIngapore Mr. Zoeller.  I hope you do well enough there that we never see you again.

Good.

Georg Zoeller is totally incompetent, and does not deserve to have a job in the gaming industry. He should be blacklisted and be forced to work in some other industry.

Now to move on to Ericksen, Amantelago and the other incompetent lead developers of SWTOR.

I personally disliked how he handled things during the 1.2 upset.

A change up in developers may turn this game around.

First came pride, then envy.

You guys are terrible.  It's ok to dislike the decisions of their game designs, but to make jokes, or outright personal attacks, about their personal lives is going too far.

As far as swtor goes, i feel it's too late to turn around, unless it had a major overhaul, which wouldn't even worth the trouble.

They could start by revamping the combat system. Maybe getting rid of the universal cooldowns and actually having a skill activate when pressed would be a great start. I agree though, personal attacks are inappropriate.

I read multiple times that this guy was bad news so hopefully this means that one day soon TOR will be playable.
