A delightful change of past from the rest of the genre. Even if you're an adult, the game is well worth trying.

I was actually surprised when I sat down and played this game. My son play who is 8 and although he has played WoW and Rift he found this to be fun. I am having a blast myself, good set back with strategy and some turn based action! Great community amazingly enough for a game geared toward the younger audience.

Aim at children but frankly anybody can play. It makes a nice change from hardcore raiding game. Certainly worth a look whilst your fav mmo is on patch day :)

This is a rating after about 5 hours playing the game. It's decently fun, I like the wizard/Harry Potter-ish theme, and it's easy to get into. The sound gets a bit repetitive after a while though and I had some lag issues during peak hours. People were friendly, but the chat is censored so that helps a bit. It's definitely worth a try since they have a trial area. My only real *big* complaint about this game is the pricing system. Even if you subscribe monthly, you don't receive any Crowns (the real money currency in the game) along with your sub. Though many say nothing in the crown store is required, I feel a mount in an mmo is necessary (and as far as I know, buying a mount with gold in the game is ridiculously expensive), as well as the henchman npcs if you don't have the friends to play with. They should have at least given an allowance of crowns imo, or lowered the sub price so I'd be willing/able to buy crowns. Personally, hybrid models like this bother me to begin with.

The game was okay, it was mildly fun and easy to find friends. There is a lot of grinding as you level higher in which makes it less fun.

I love to play Wizard101. I have put barely any money into it, yet I have lots of fun. I have five characters, and I can have fun on each of them in different ways.

This really surprised me. Even though it is aimed at kids, they have put so much effort into the spells and the combat system.
