Charity Chrismoose Arrives

KingsIsle is once again raising money for a pair of Texas-based children's charities with the sale of the Chrismoose, a new mount for Wizard101 players. The Chrismoose costs 7500 Crowns (approximately $7.50) and is on sale from today through December 21st.

To help celebrate MMORPG's inaugural Family Week, KingsIsle has provided 1000 codes for mystery items in Wizard101. Each code offers the chance to receive one of 26 possible items, including pets, gear, packs and mounts. Each code can only be used once.

Zafaria Trailer Shows Off Wild Side

Wizard101 players now have a new area to scout out with the addition of the Zafaria expansion. Zafaria offers players new quests, spells and a level cap increase to 70. Take a walk on the wild side with this new trailer showing off some of the awesome features showcased in Wizard101's Zafaria.

Zafaria Goes Live

KingsIsle has announced that the latest world to be added to the Wizard101 spiral has officially gone live. Called 'Zafaria', the new content brings new quests, monsters and gear into the game.

Expanding to Taiwan in 2012

KingsIsle has announced that Wizard101 will be published in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau in 2012. Earlier this past summer, KingsIsle also announced that it had inked a publishing deal to bring the family-friendly title to Mainland China.

World Creation Is Like Making Lasagna

In the latest Wizard101 Producer's Letter, Leah "Professor Falmea" Ruben likens creating a new game world (like the recently released "Wysteria") to making lasagna: All the steps have to be followed in the right order or the recipe is a disaster. The comparisons are hilarious and, for our money, right on the mark.

Wysteria Update Includes New City, Zones, Quests and More

KingsIsle has announced that the Wizard101 'Wysteria' update is now live. The update brings a ton of new content on board including new zones, new creatures to defeat, new quests, equipment, plants and lots more. Zones in the Wysteria update cost 1,000 Crowns for those without a membership. Members receive the update content as part of their subscription plan.

Game Cards Coming to Canada

Wizard101 players in Canada will be happy to hear that game cards are headed their way. Currently in the US, on version of the game card gives players a sultan's palace, a flying carpet mount, a genie in a lamp, a casting flute, a snake in a basket and either a month's membership or 5,000 in Crowns, the Wizard101 game currency.

June Producer's Letter

The latest Producer's Letter has been published on the official Wizard101 site. The letter discusses last month's Winter Tusk update, player feedback and issues encountered. In addition, developers want players to know that they are not finished for the summer and have more surprises in store.
