Welcome to Wysteria Wysteria was once a trade post and pleasant enough small town in the Wizard City cluster, not too far away but of little consequence in the overall scheme of things, until a magical incident occurred that caused a crawling vine to grow and completely overrun the town. Players who are level 25 or higher should speak to Merle Ambrose in his tower. He will offer you the quest "To the Registrar". Pigswick Academy; Pigswick Academy is located at the heart of Wysteria and is a rival school to Ravenwood. Inside the walls of this city a very special Magic tournament is about to take place and in your journey to solve the mystery involving the theft of an important school treasure it will be up to you to defend the honor and good name of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts! Pegasus Place: Normally home to a host of pegasus aerie, this street has been overrun by a wave of goblins and hobgoblins, fierce and horrible creatures who escaped to Wysteria by hitching a ride with some unwitting students. They have blocked off the street, run amok and caused considerable damage to buildings, and are storming around, menacing students and residents alike. Tanglewood Way: Tanglewood Way is ruled by the forces of nature. The gates are completely entangled with vines and seemingly are impassible, and two guards stand outside it keeping people away. Wizards 101 is actually a good game, but worthless for adults to play with it's SUPPER SUPPER protective chat system. Making it impossible to play !!! Kids under 10...........Good !!! Adults.........................No wayyyyyyyy, unless your teaching your young child how to play video games !!!!!

Players over the age of 18 who use a valid credit card to purchase a Membership to Wizard101 can opt in to the Open Chat. This chat channel is filtered for profanity. In this channel, when players type their text they will see 3 colors in the chat window: white means 13+ can see it, yellow means only 18+ can see it, and red is completely filtered. This chat feature is in response to our community's requests. To ensure the highest level of safety, we have chosen to provide this for our active Members only. Please note that this option is off by default, and you must actively select this option under Account Management. Our terms for in-game communication with other players will remain the same. Violent and abusive behavior, as well as the exchange of personal information is still not acceptable. Accounts must be verified as 18+ through a valid credit card on file with Wizard101.

Page you echoed something many people discuss as an issue. Most adults walk away from this game and never return after giving it a shot. As I have said many times before, I've taked with a great many people about this game and the complaints always come down to a core group of them with communication and the unrealisitic chat system being one of them. The censorship in the forums goes along with this as well. I can't tell you how many people have told there post haven't been posted.

Our message boards have been designed to allow players to exchange game information and experiences, and ask questions about the game. To ensure all interactions are safe, we have a team of moderators overseeing all message board activity. They review, edit, and delete inappropriate messages so the message board discussions stay safe and on track. We will continue to be diligent in protecting our younger players and if that means that players who feel the need to be violent, inappropriate or predatory cannot play our game, then so be it.
