So, they failed at making a mmorpg and are now trying to turn it into a strategy?

Good luck.

If I know SV like I think I know SV, this update will be polished and bug-free.

It looks like a week version of ShadowBane .. or they are trying to emulate it.

Looks rather Meh from the vid .. why not put more people and action into the vid ? only shows a look out tower >?  maybe that is all the new addition will entail .

Sorry but I can not see from what is shown much of a reason to even try it.

Ok to be fair I went to the webpage and looked at some vids on the site ..

They are much  better then the one showed here and even have a few .. Hmmm ... That could be cool Moments in them.

Still I have to wonder if a Full world PvP .. gank fest game is one I want to be part of .. free trial so maybe I give it a load up.

Stormwind, Mostly there trying to emulate UO, but yes I'm sure they took some of the territory control mechanics from other MMO's.

Can you still only play this game in first person?

Yes this game is ONLY FIRST PERSON.  It's to increase realism and immersion.  You can't sneak up behind someone if everyone can see behind there backs.

This video proposes some very awesome gameplay scenarios for the game.

In addition the 3d ingame politcal map inside the keeps is the most impressive feature of any game i have seen a while, so credit where it is due, GJ on that SV.

This game is really really cool, but bugs drove me away. I grinded out tons of money on a butcher then mailed it to my fighter so he could buy skills. Their stupid fqing mailing system lost my money.

If SV can fix some of the glaring bugs, the UI, and add some AI that doesn't jump/teleport all over the place this game would be so damn amazing.

This is pointless @ this stage of development, within the game.

Who cares about the 4 guilds and the testosterone filled teenagers who run the forums..?  The 20k people that did use to follow the game left... because Henrik couldn't figure out that people need cloth, leather, bags and a myriad of beginner stuff to fight over..

who, or what really cares about bone armor and platmail? When none of that is condusive of their playing style?

The only thing MO is, is a Clan vs Clan game, anymore. So the ONLY players MO will ever gain, is children who want to raom in groups of 5, call themnselves a guild, just to kill anyone who they see.

That is so kewl...  for someone who needs to kill other to feel good about themselves. But what about the thousands of players who don't, that wanted to cultivate a new world and build an empire based on society?

They & that game are gone. Now SV is into territory control, because that about all the 150 people playing can do.

Totally agre with you. This game was so promising, but all is gone.  Server is empty and the first trailer which I saw many months ago was just one giant lie.  SV aren't listening PvE players, so all left. The game isn't cheap, full of bugs and there is nothing more  to do then kill other players. I am very sad from it. I thought MO will be my dream game, but is not.

As long as it is well implemented, this could be a very good addition to the game.  It certainly will add a lot for the PvP/conquest type players, and should make the game world more interesting and interactive for all.

@ Rohn But nothing SV has ever done has been well implemented so why would this be?

I really just don't see this game as fun or interesting anymore.  I purchased their full loot bag in preorder and just played the game when the free period was going on and there was very little change in the department of gameplay.  I was so incredibly hyped to play the game but it has been a giant letdown.

I write about it on my blog www.gameplayersdaily.com if you guys wanna check it out.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and although it sure seems that SV has built themselves a grave they likely won't escape, one has to admire their vision. Hopefully someone stumbles upon their blueprint, makes the necessary adjustments and turn lead into gold.
