I was intrested in buying it, until i saw the price. If it was around $500, maybe, but over $500 is just a little pricey for all the junk you get with it, most of it no one really cares about. Currently restarting World of Warcraft :/ |

Good job avoiding the whole point you troll, go hide in a corner unless you can bring something constructive to the topic, though that is a joke in itself as this topic is just that, a joke, a trolling. And please learn what "at least" means before replying.
@Desert: True, but this is a Charity "Auction", you are getting something more than the satisfaction of donating to a good cause. You could donate money to the same charity, or participate in the auction and win something out of it. @Sanders: There is normal limited editions, and the only thing they don't have is that life-time subscription, which was added as a reward for bidding on this. The price for the normal limited editions haven't been announced, so it won't cost you 500. Apparently there is only 999 of these, but I could be wrong, just something I remember reading about. |

But some people do, just that simple. Just not me of course. BTW, just because someone bids 3600 for the game, doesn't mean they'll actually pay for it in the end. Lots of people default on actually following through on ebay auctions, especially when its odd items like this.

You can troll a topic you've made, being the OP doesn't give you any special privileges. Yet I guess you believe you have free reign in your own topic. IF you've failed to notice outside of what you pick out of posts and quote, I've been discussing this topic. This topic is valid, you though, invalidate it through how you've handled it. |

Heh, well you can always hope that they do something akin to Hellgate or LotR, and offer a lifetime subscription at or around release for 2-300 bucks :P |

You already know the answer ghoul. Some people have more money to throw around than others. Most would not but some do. Some would be highly interested in this game, some also equally as involved in charities. Hence actual bids for it. Me? I don't have 200 bucks to put on a video game let alone 2,500. Which really doesn't matter since I have no interest what so ever for this game. If you were looking to get actual feedback on the amount of people that would do this a opposed to who would not, I would suggest a poll, Im pretty sure most people would not spend this kind of money for any type of video game. If that is what you were looking to get out of this thread make a poll. :p |

First you say the topic is a joke, a troll. Now you say the topic is valid. Nice way to totally contradict yourself.

Whatever makes you feel better I guess... After this post, I'm just going to ignore you because you simply don't, or refuse to, grasp what anyone says. YOU, invalidate this topic. By refusing to enter into any form of discussion, you drag it down with every keystroke. The only thing that is valid is the posts of others who are actually doing what is, ultimately, what a forum is for. If you want to keep something completely one-sided, go blog about it, twitter about it, whine about it on your facebook/myspace/whatever. If you really want to discuss it, try putting some bit of effort into thinking. Now go ahead and pick out one five letter sentence from my post and focus on it, like you continue doing, cause I'm not going to waste more time saying what you make sooooo painfully obvious. |

3k is far from 'rich' when thrown around to charities. And yes, you'd be surprised at who plays these games. I work with a guy close to forbes material who is a WoW junkie. |

Aye, I was very glad to see it hit that amount. I started doing some research to see what options were available to individuals who make donations, but couldn't get everything together in time toreally go through with it :P one day... |

Who want to pay alot of money for a box? Easy question to answere. Someone that got the money, is interested in the game and want to donate to charity. :) It´s complicated like that. Anything more you want to know? If earth is flat or round? |

5100 to charity. turn around resell the box make more money. cause tax write off = less money to taxes so you save moeny. resell it maybe get 5100++ for it cause clearly people want it even if it was a bit for charity people still wanted the box set. so you could save money on taxes and resell it for almost the same price. make more money on it or close to.
main thing is its a nice jester. very few game companies do charity drives. or you rarely hear of them.... CPU: Intel Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz @ 2.8GHz (0%) |

Sorry bud. You'd be the one trolling by even creating the thread, complaining about the costs when you admit you know its going to charity. |

I'm not complaining, I'm just surprised someone would pay $5100 for a video game, even if it is for charity.
