I read and responded to your post and if I recall some of the responses you gave to our replies showed a continued lack of respect.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. Either way your post could have been worded better. It carried with it an aggressive air, like you expect SV to fail. The fact that you would come here and rage about it doesn't do anything to improve your image and it won't garner any pity. The MO official forums have been very relaxed and forthcoming with information, way more so than any mmo I can remember in the last five years. So don't come whining to these boards because the MO community is small, very mature and very united behind the game.

Not when a company is going to sell a product, the stock owners might be put off if the forum is in chaos. The 'free speech' is often abused by people posting degrading pictures and right out morbid in some cases.

Thats why a person whos buying stock want to know that when he is checking up on the company he bought his shares in wont get him kicked out from his work cause the pictures on the forum are 'Not Work Safe' and the netadmin shuts his client down.

I dont think many of the so called free speech and anarchy flag wavers on this forum have understood just that part, that there are rules in for a reason.

I didn't curse at all. I simply asked a question. And I was banned for life. That shows the mods are out of control. Plain and simple.

I didn't curse at all. I simply asked a question. And I was banned for life. That shows the mods are out of control. Plain and simple.

 

Actually, I'd have to say if anything the mods have shown they are completely in control.  Of everything said over there anyways.

Instead of hiring 7 people to constantly lock threads, why not hire 7 more programmers instead? Then you would get the game done a lot sooner.

It's hard to believe that people have been feeding the troll for eleven pages.

LOl I went and read all 6 threads/posts this troll made at the MO forums. Every single one of them was a troll, flame or whine thread.

lets see, i talked about full looting causes people to fight naked. This is exactly what is happening in Darkfall. I also talked about how I liked the races in Shadowbane. They weren't troll posts at all. So give it up.

You know, it's exactly this type of "helpful" and "intelligent" questioning that probably got you banned in the first place over there.

The ironic thing, is you'd absolutely see nothing wrong with asking them this if you were there, lol.

Make up a fake account if you want to post on Mortal Online forums so bad. Send a letter to the administrator there apologizing and promising to read and think before you post. Tell them you will buy 30 copies so they let you back in. Take out a web ad so they know you really, really want to play their game and that you think Darkfall is a steaming pile. They may reconsider.

I'm not sure exactly what you think will happen here as you keep bumping your own pity party. It's getting worse by the minute.

I prefer your posts for entertainment. You never even played Darkfall, and yet you make hundreds of posts talking about how great the game is. How ridiculous is that?

I was one of the many who tried to join DF for hours every day , both in the pre-order then the waves of restricted sales and gave up. I'm not sorry I did now anyway. Too much time wasted trying to get an account for a game where you then have to wait ages to get to the front of the log in que I reckon. Why bother? Plenty of other games out there.

I am disappointed. Shadowbane had lots of cool races. They had minotaurs, centaurs, vampires, Flying bird creatures, Flying demons, dwarves. It seems that MMORPGS these days take 2 steps backward...

Realistic? Its a fantasy game. Its not supposed to be realistic. Thats the whole point of fantasy. To do stuff we can't normally do. Its not realistic to shoot fireballs out your hand. But its cool. If I want to be a human, I can be one in real life. But I can't be something cool like a demon or a centaur in real life.

I don't think that a open pvp full loot game can ever work. Just look at Darfall right now. Its a disaster.

Everyone runs around naked so they don't lose stuff. The economy in non existent because people aren't going to pay a lot of money for stuff they will lose in 5 minutes.

The fun in pvp games is the pvp itself. If you you want meaning you can fight for cities, mines, and territories. But having to totally reequip your character every 5 minutes is a totally pain, and makes everyone afraid to fight.There won't be any cool items in the game. And if there is , nobody will wear them because they don't want to lose them. It just doesn't work.

You just made my point for me. You admit people are going to run around naked. And you admit that if you get decent gear, you aren't going to wear it. You are just going to let it sit in the bank and collect dust because you are afraid to wear it.

Its just the opposite . Nobody attacks a naked person because there is no loot to gain from them. The full looting thing just brings out tons of problems. Naked gank groups are just one of them.

Just criticism, nothing constructive, you don't say how someone might work with the full loot system, you just say "It won't work so remove it"(not a smart thing to say to someone that might want it implemented)

There have been a lot of small companies trying to make revolutionary sandbox pvp games. Dark and Light, Roma Victor, Mourning, Shadowbane and now Darkfall.

And they all have been failures. What makes you think this game will be any different? I don't think small companies have the resources to pull off a complete MMORPG.

You went there knowing that it's the OFFICIAL FORUM for the game and as it is in most official forums, stuff will be removed and users be banned. Rather than asking information about how they might implement all features that they listed, you plainly attacked the game. That's how i see it(I'm sure someone is going to have a different point of view just like you had when you posted what you did and didn't see a problem with it).

In the end there are plenty of places where you could have asked that question, but asking it in a place where the people want to play the game or to sell that game... what can i say... it's like asking them to ban you.

P.S. This of course in case you were banned for what you wrote in these posts(You could have sent a message to a developer saying F.U. and never told us about it).

well you can check how many ppl are online  everyday in MO forums and then you have the answer why you got banned.They dont  want you to scare the tiny number of ppl that interested in the game. 220 ppl(more or less)  logging everyday in MO forums.....well thats not much for an mmo thats going to be released this summer. Wheres the hype wheres the passion for this game . i really wonder

People ran around naked in UO and it was a big problem. I said the same thing would happen in Darkfall , and guess what? It did! The Darkfall devs didn't learn anything from UO.  They didn't listen to people like me who said naked ganking would be a problem.

So my post was very constructive. It was showing people the problems full looting would create. If the darkfall devs would have listened to people like me, they would have a lot less problems now. But they didn't so history repeated itself.

Now the Mortal Online devs don't want to listen. So they will repeat the same mistakes all over again.

I don't see anything banable in that. Its seems that the mods in that forum are even worse than the Darkfall forums. This isn't a good sign. It show sthat they have something to hide.

 

 

looking at your post, it does seem to be like you are challenging them and disparaging small mmo makers. I wonder if this would have been a more diplomatic post:

And thank God for that. They listened to their fanbase; you know, people who actually cheered the game on for years and told them what they wanted. As opposed to people like you who poo-pooed it the whole way saying it would fail, like you are doing with MO now. They put in the game what their fanbase wanted, and not people like you who want to change it to what they want. Their fanbase has not problem with running around naked. They are much more interested in the various intrigue and political alliances and battles than just "wearing shinies" as you are preoccupied with. The Darkfall fans are not crying to the developers "Hey, I have to fight naked!" People like "you" want to get in that game and solo around, get killed, then cry foul. They. Did. Not. Make. The. Read Paragus' latest blog report on their recent large battle. They had a problem with the person declaring war getting disconnected and that caused their allies to forfeit a battle. Those players would much rather have things like that fixed instead of worrying about whether there is loot to get from someone after they kill them. If you want to play a loot driven game with shinies, you probably should check out "Hello Kitty", there's plenty of goodies in that one. And when someone kills you, I don't think they have full looting, so you're safe.

Why should Mortal Online listen to people like "you"? You have no expertise. You are not a developer. You have no gaming acumen other than you played a few games a few times. You predicted Darkfall wouldn't even launch. You were wrong. So why is your professional opinion to be trusted? My guess is that from the quality of your questions, the devs there could see you had no idea what you were talking about regarding their game, so were in no way to be making suggestions to them. And then you come to this site to complain they don't listen to you, even though you already have shown you don't like their game, and you don't like full loot and many other things about it. Just weirdness, lol.
