Ryzom's new team has provided a road map for the game's future and their plans to restore the world of Atys to its former glory.

Gameforge in Receivership

The official forums for the MMORPG Ryzom are full of disappointing news for the game's fans. Today Marjo, the game's Community Liaison, told players that Gameforge, the company currently in control of the game, is going into receivership (a near equivelent to bankruptcy in the US), and the future of the game is unclear.

The Free Ryzom Campaign

News that Nevrax, the company behind the MMOG Ryzom, had gone into recievership late last week wasa dissapointment for fans of the game. Some of those same fans are now starting a project in the hopes of purchasing the source code, artwork and intellectual property associated with Ryzom in order to continue the game as a "democratically run player project".

Nevrax Going Into Receivership

The French company promises that they will continue to support their game during these troubled times as the company heads to receivership next month. The game goes free as a result.

Patching on Monday

The Ryzom servers are down for a few hours today while the Paris-based developers apply a new patch to their MMOG.
