Does it work on them without any extra software like Mono or Wine? If not, then the system requirements are not outdated. |

Of couse I posted this topic because it works without any extra stuff.
With extra stuff almost everything works less or more. EDIT: MAC version is still in progress, oficial page writes: Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 or GNU/Linux |

What I've seen on the Ryzom forum there never was a native Linux client. Ryzom runs "emulated" under wine or cedega (if at all). |

So what does this vid prove? That it runs under Linux? Is this somehow contradictionary to what I said? I said there is no "native" Linux client. Ryzom comes as an .exe file which means it *has* to be emulated under Linux. I'll try this now, we'll see what fumbling around is needed or if it runs out of the box in wine at least. |

Hell no was I wrong (first I checked when I was in Windows where I didn't see this option)! It comes indeed with a 7z-archiv and runs natively, out-of-the-box and quite nicely in Linux, even on my good old but utterly outdated box (1,8Ghz Athlon). This in itself is kinda sensation. I guess you can count all native Linux MMOs on one hand (don't tell me EVE which is not and never was). No wine, no cedega crap. AWESOME! And even better: it also comes with a german text version... whoohoo |
