Ok noob question here lol, My wife and I played ryzom for awhile, but since then neither of us can remember our username and password, where can I recover both for the game, as I think the username and pw were different for the forumns if i remember correctly, I really want to jump in again, we both do, but lacking both our username and password we cant, any link on the ryzom site would be most helpful where we could recover that info somehow. Thank you in advance playing eq2 and two worlds |

1. Congrats, and welcome! 2. Take your time on the starter island, read the full text of the tutorial missions, then stop and read it again. If you don't understand something, ask in Universe channel, where you will get prompt and friendly help. Ryzom's game mechanics are richer than most, so it takes some time and effort to understand things, though it's usually easy enough to get started with the basics. 18 months on I'm still learning, though, and a long way from knowing all. Do all of the tutorial missions, you won't regret the time you put into it. 3. Don't be fooled by the tutorial missions into thinking the rest of the game will be similar. It's not. After the tutorials are over, the hand holding stops. (at least, the developer-created hand holding... the players will continue to help) There are precious few missions to do once you leave the starter area. That's when you enter the "sandbox" and will be free to find your own things to do, and be eaten by scary animals. No mandatory quest chains or repetitive "storyline" here. 4. Talk. Meet people, and get to know them. If you need help, ask. Help people when you are able. When you find people you like to hang around with, join a guild. You have the freedom to play solo, but if you do you'll miss out on the best part of the game. The other players are your friends, not your enemies. (Even in PvP, keep that in mind.) 5. Wear jewelry as soon as you can get some. (Jewelry can have stat bonuses, which will help you immensely.) 6. Approach this with a little bit of RP attitude - you are entering an alien world where you will have to learn quickly and be creative and hard-working, not stepping on a thrill ride with a pre-determined outcome. 7. This one is just my personal opinion, FWIW. Don't get in a hurry to level up your first skills. There are ways you can rush through the process, but you will just become a "high-level noob" with skills you don't know how to use properly. When you get to the mainland, there are consumable items called "Experience Catalyzers" or just "cats". They will double your experience gain. Some people get very uptight about having them available. I say, don't worry about using them. If you feel like you need to get experience faster, they will certainly do that, but a good team with someone who knows how to do things will help more than cats, and you will learn more player skill as well. Personally, I only use cats for crafting, and not always then. Others have sworn them off altogether. OK, soapbox mode off.

Yea, I'm wanting to try this game out so bad I can taste it. Come home from work to see they had some account creations. Guess I missed the boat on this one. Any word on when they are going to open up for everyone? |

it has been random all day as far as I know. I saw that they were letting people in earlier this morning and when to the site and I was too late. I went back a little later and I got in so just keep trying. I must say..this is a completely unique mmo. I really like it alot. Wonderful immersion and great art style and the music is really great. The graphics are much better than I thought they would be. Just great to have so much freedom to make the type of character I want with the skills that I choose. New favorite game. |

Dear Sourajit Nandi, I tried to get there and make an account as soon as i got the mail but alas i found that no more people are let in. Is there going to be addtion of players anytime soon or am i going to wait till i turn lucky and hit that thread with a few slots still remaining ? Seriously , i have made that thread a bookmark and every now and then I am clicking it to see if I can get in. But no luck and its been nearly three days now. Please can we get a code or a different way to get in so that we can get playing the game ? Thanks for the community managers quick and prompt response but it failed to provide a way to play the game. " If you don't have a Ryzom account already, hurry and sign up; this will only be possible for a short time because there's a limited number of accounts to be created across all three communities! If you already play and know some people who don't then tell them to come sign up and join you absolutely free. " Waiting and clicking till luck shines on me. "Sorry but it's too late; all new accounts have been taken. We'll make more available regularly, so please come back later." "Sorry but it's too late; all new accounts have been taken. We'll make more available regularly, so please come back later." "Sorry but it's too late; all new accounts have been taken. We'll make more available regularly, so please come back later." ........................................................................................ ........................................................................................ Three days have passed by Cheers " Don't listen to anyone who tells you that you can't play this or that. That's nonsense. Make up your mind, and you'll never whine or repent about gaming hours anymore, then have a go at every Game. Open up the Internet, join in all the Mmorpgs you can. Go make the Guild. But never, never let them persuade you that things are too difficult or impossible. " Once An Addict Always An Addict . |

3 days? didn't they just open it yesterday? Keep trying friend it's worth it. i am a new plyer and only got on for a couple of hours last night and was really suprised with how much freedom you have. I was fighting random mobs near the ranger camp when i accidently attacked a mob that had a 3X by it's name, it hit me once and i knew right away i was in trouble so i turned and ran. afetr running for a few seconds i turned to go back and guess what! he was still there! ..this game actually has danger! the mob followed all the way back to the ranger camp. so the next hour i spent slowly and quietly sneaking around getting to know what i was fighting and actully carefully picking out certain mobs that i knew i could practise on. didnt progress a lot last night s i was following Sasi's advice and reading through all text and taking it slow. But i did get to have a play around with creating my own skills which was great and very imersive. Can't wait for tonight to come long :) |

just 1 warning for new players; the place where you start as a new toon, the Ruins of Silan, is the tutorial of the game, and it's the only place that gives xp (and some rewards) for missions.
When you go to the mainland, there will be harly any missions like it, but the game will be open to do whatever you want. Just don't expect a mission system like (for example) wow, because there is not. That might feel a bit strange or even makes you wonder what to do, but it's the thing you might like most after a while... |

So does the lack of a mission system on the mainland make it really hard to find things to do? |
