Well, as of yesterday (April 20th) the Open Beta of Ryzom is available for download to north americans like myself. However what I have found is that when I download the client from fileplanet I am not provided with the CD activation key that I need to activate an account with Nevrax. I tried downloading a second time to see if I missed anything, but still no luck, I even updated my account with the fileserver to use my ISP mail account.. no dice. Has anyone found a way around this yet? (I don't believe the CD's are available in this part of the world.) I have sent feedback with my e-mail address to Fileplanet, and also to Vince at Nevrax. I'll be waiting to see if they have anything to say about this.

I found another thread about this here, but the link they provided to verify your email is not working. I found this: http://www.gamespyid.com/emailverify.aspx which lets you click a link to send a e-mail verification to you, I'm now waiting for the e-mail that it says was sent...

It seems Gamespy or Fileplanet is having problems with this. Now Gamespy got feedback from me too heh.

You just have to log out of gamespy then back in to get the cookie setup right. At this point Gamespy will give you a CD key and getting registered and logged in is easy.
