They game has always looked like something I'd love as a GTA, FPS, and MMO fan. However I'm fully aware that it'll likely be of poor quality and won't last long.

Either way, I greatly look forward to the day that MMORPGs not only advertise heavily on television to boost launch sales(I know WoW does now but it didn't at first and it is pretty much the only one that does). If they would run this particular spot, even as long as it is, just a few times during prime-time it would attract a lot of attention.

FYI, it's not that bad. It won't last you a whole year, but it's very fun. Just buy on the hour system and not monthly if you're doubtful.

Why should I not just play GTA IV online (or maybe even Red Dead Redemption)? The optomisation is not enough to sell this game to me.

You don't have to do anything you don't want to do.  I've played APB and I find it to be a lot of action and a lot of fun.  That alone is different from my experiences on any other MMORPG. out there. Action//Fun? No, most mmo's are just, grind away until you pay us $15 again.

First off, just want to point out that their so called dynamic match making system is for the most part, useless. It punishes Criminals and makes it too easy on Enforcers. Oh, besides that, if you do buy this game and find yourself being slaughtered constantly by certain individuals, they're most likely using an aimbot, radar or wallhack as was evident during beta. The game itself is fun, but like most PvP centric games, your company usually consists of glitch artists, worthless cheaters and annoying griefers.

At least this MMO is not another WoW clone or a "fantasy" elves and dwarves game. That other genre is just too over played at the moment. Something a little more gritty and current is just what MMO's need right now.

People cheat an grief in all multi player games...., but i do agree it'll be fun for a month or two, but its not built to last, just a decent game to kill time untill something else comes out.
