Game: APB: Reloaded
This game was a huge ass Disapointment for me I was in the first round of beta... so unpolished, so lacking. one day Rockstar will give us a true GTA MMO, till then....stay clear of this turd.
That may have been one of the most unintelligent thing i have ever heard. If 90 people preorder and 1000 people buy on release, then 90 people would have DIFFERENT emotes/clothes than the other 910 people...
I must say I'm amazed by the customization level. It really is mind blowing how unique you can be. However, there is a reason why the beta access is has been divided in different groups and the servers only open for a few hours a week. I believe the game is simply too repetitive and gets boring fast (at least for me). I can't call this game an MMO. I truly hope some good company uses this game's customization interface and designs a proper MMO around it.
Just to clarify a bit so people don't get the wrong idea, APB is in most respects very similar to Global Agenda in overall design, with social areas being free and PvP areas costing a monthly fee. To those worried about repetitive gameplay, all I can say is, it won't be any more repetitive than City of Heroes/Villains. Besides, being able to call for backup will also spice things up a bit because you may or may not get that much needed backup which can turn the tide. I've been playing Borderlands pretty hardcore recently and I'm loving the FPS style MMO ideas a lot more, so I'm definitely investing in APB simply for the FPS aspect only, anything else, like the extreme character, clothing, music and vehicle customization is a bonus.
@Rhoklaw just to clarify a bit more only certain aspects of Global Agenda have a charge you can still do certain pvp matches free. And this or GA is a tps not a fps and at least COX has content to do not just run around in a glorified game lobby waiting for a pvp match
Aheram all your info is wrong. APB is not running around in lobby waiting for PVP matches because PVP happens in open world all the time. In GA you queue for matches just like you do for Unreal Tournamemnet etc. There is no comparison at all as APB also allows more player in one world compared to GA.
APB in no way is more repetitive then GA because if you don't pay for GA sub you are stuck with same two style of matches over and over again.
I suggest you get your info right if you wan't to argue, because nothing that you said so far is remotely true. COX gotto be the most repetitve game i have ever played though.
@Asheram I've played CoX enough to know that even continuously added content can still equal repetitive gameplay. Same goes for WoW and it's repetitive grind for better gear. There are very few and I mean very few MMO's that aren't repetitive in some fashion or another. APB focuses on PvP interaction which has to be the least form or repetitive gameplay any MMO can offer. Seriously, how fun can it be to kill the same raid bosses in an AI dungeon over and over?
I had high hopes for this game until I found out it was going to use instance based maps, this destroys any sense of community in a MMO when you do this. Star Trek Online is one example. I played closed beta, the game has some great customization features, I like the TPS (third person shooter) view. I can deal with the repetitive missions, people who are grouped to zerg solo players, sometimes you don't get backup in a mission, But I can't get behind instanced MMO's.
"Hey, do you remember that epic guild vs guild shootout in Waterfront district map number 24?"
"... no, I was in Waterfront district 69, I couldn't get into number 24 the map was full."
So i guess its time to preorder;)

Yep and those other 10,000 ppl who didn't preorder won't be using these emotes/clothes and cars.... and there is nothing wrong about that.

Sat May 01 2010 8:52PM ReportFirst - game is under NDA. Hope everyone remembers that.
Second - I never pre-order MMOs, but I'll likely buy this at release.
Sat May 01 2010 10:10PM ReportAsk someone like me who plays GA. Its repetitive as hell. Atleast APB has open PVP system.
Sun May 02 2010 3:32PM ReportI have been in beta for this game and imo it was repetitive and boring, some people I know enjoyed this game .... i did not
