  • You Like Me! You Really Like Me!

    The latest APB-Reloaded update starts with the news that the game's Facebook page now has over 80,000 "likes" and is gunning for more. That aside, devs have also noted that the latest update will feature more Vivox servers as well as tweaks applied to the threat levels and matchmaking systems.

  • Open Beta to Begin Today

    GamersFirst has announced that the delayed open beta for APB-Reloaded is scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. PST today, Monday, May 23rd. The open beta was delayed for about a week due to disconnect issues encountered early last week. In a separate blog, devs also revealed that visual adjustment to threat levels is also slated to arrive today.

  • Open Beta Goes On Temporary Hold

    It would seem that a player disconnection issue is holding up GamersFirst's release of the APB: Reloaded Open Beta. The disconnection issue "manifests itself in disconnecting some groups of players after one to two hours of gameplay, which clearly is not acceptable in Open Beta". A patch was released for the Closed Beta that may resolve the issue.

  • Original Creator Added to Advisory Position

    GamersFirst has announced that the original All Points Bulletin creator, David Jones, has been named as one of Reloaded Productions' team members. Jones will serve in an advisory role and will share his vast game design experience during critical design stages of the ongoing development of APB Reloaded. Jones' credentials include working on titles such as Lemmings, Grand Theft Auto and Crackdown.

  • New Patch and East Coast Server Move

    The APB Reloaded blog has been updated with the latest news about the ongoing closed beta patch process as well as the news that the East Coast server will officially be moved to Washington D.C. later this week. The goal of the server move is to improve latency for players. The APB Reloaded open beta is scheduled to begin on May 18th.

  • Open Beta Coming May 18th

    The APB Reloaded blog has been updated with a new post entitled "Open Beta Date, Credit Bonuses, New Items, Character Restorations and Cheaters". As stated in the title, the open beta has been dated for May 18, 2011. Prior to that, however, the team plans to add lots more players including about 40,000 more invites going out today.

    The APB Reloaded blog has been updated with a series of notices about streaming patches to be applied over the next several days as the team prepares the latest game version for open beta. Included updates will address the usual bugs and fixes as well as add the Armas Marketplace, fixing PunkBuster CPU spike, fixes to audio/video and the SkillRating system.

It appears that a nasty bug has landed in the 1.50 patch that has caused some serious crash issues for players. Developers anticipate several patches over the next few days to mitigate the bug and other issues that have cropped up. These patches will help lay the groundwork for the upcoming open beta.

    The APB Reloaded blog has been updated with the exciting news that the 1.5 patch has been applied with significant changes and improvements to the game. v1.5 will ultimately be the open beta release build. Current closed beta testers are working to help the team iron out the bugs before the open beta launches.

  • v1.5 and Big Plans for the Week

    The APB Reloaded team has announced some BIG plans for the upcoming week in the latest developer blog. If all goes well, v1.5 will hit servers this week with a character wipe. In addition, once v1.5 goes live, all players who applied for closed beta testing will be invited to help test out the new version which will ultimately be the open beta client.

    A quick note from the APB Reloaded blog: The European beta servers have been switched on and are live. Last week, GamersFirst announced that it was actively searching for a new server host due to ongoing issues with the original company. The issue for EU players is now resolved.

    The APB Reloaded blog has been updated with comprehensive notes on the v1.5.0 patch for the proposed changes coming to the game during the ongoing closed beta test. Build 1.5.0 will eventually become the version players will experience during open beta testing. In addition, devs announced the death of the 'grief truck'.

    The APB Reloaded team has announced that each day from now through April 7th, devs will be selecting an indeterminate number of 'fans' from its Facebook page to give access to the closed beta. Fans can increase their chances of winning by inviting their friends to 'like' APB-Reloaded's page as well.

    GamersFirst devs have released a new version of APB: Reloaded. Now up to 'build 68', the notes includes the prep work for a new upgrade system, new progression and rating systems. In addition, the team is still having issues with the EU servers and have shipped new equipment to a different EU carrier.
