  • Beta Begins!

    It appears that the closed beta for Realtime Worlds' APB is underway, according to reports over at Eurogamer and Kotaku. A number of applicants have apparently received their invites, and are reporting that test days are currently Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 7-11PM with the first hour of testing focused solely on the game's "Social District" only.

  • Video Podcast #12: Community Q&A

    The 12th entry to the APB video podcast series sees the conclusion of the Mark Rein walkthrough saga, and begins a new community Q&A series with APB Lead Designer EJ Moreland. If you take one thing away from this podcast, it's that APB will be coming out for PC only for its first release! Apparently the team at Realtime Worlds have been inundated with questions about the platforms the game will be available on, despite the fact they have publicly stated it would be PC only, at least at first.

  • Beta Begins Next Week!

    Realtime Worlds CEO Gary Dale has confirmed that the beta test for the cops'n'robbers MMOG, APB, will go live next week. Mr. Dale revealed the beta start date during a Tech Media Invest conference in at Emirates Stadium in London.

    "Spoiler Alert" is the latest installment of Real Time Worlds' behind the scenes video podcast. In the podcast, the developers take us to a car show in order to show us what kinds of things they draw their inspiration from for the various car customizations players will be able to make in APB. You'll be able to customize your car with spoilers, elaborate decals, pearlescent paint, and even carbon fiber in APB.

  • Realtime Worlds Grows

    APB is truly a massive undertaking, and because of this, and perhaps other unannounced projects, the team at Realtime Worlds has grown to just about 250 members, with plans to expand to 300 by the end of the year. The developer has also expanded their offices by an additional 8,000 sqft to accomodate all the new happy faces.
