After giving it a first try awhile ago, i've decided its simply not for me. It was laggy, clunky, the controls seemed awkward and, the fact it was entirely a PVP game was clearly made for people who're into pvp.

And no, i didn't know it was an entirely pvp game..All i knew about it was that many people have considered it to be "GTA as an mmo"

Playing
Nothing
waiting for
The secret world
Played
WoW, DCU online, star wars: the old republic, city of heroes, city of villains, everquest, plenty more I'm probably forgetting or aren't worth noting.

Haven't given up on it yet.  It's far from the worst MMO I've ever tried  (that distinction goes to LineageII).  It's not as fun as it could be though.  I can definitely see where people might burn out on the missions b/c they're expecting new content all the time and aren't used to the reality that us FPS gamers are used to.  IE:  You don't play an FPS to grind up gear or get fucking fancy Hats (well you can, but it's boring as watching paint dry if that's all you do).  No the point of FPS's IS to play the same damn map all the time and basically master every position and push.  You're not maxing out some Stat on your character, you're maxing out personal reaction time and rote memory to be more competitive.

And as long as you keep getting exciting matches against the right opponents, it never gets boring.  Unfortunately the matchmaking & ladder in this game is still broken.  And getting more broken by the day the longer they've allowed the hackers to propagate their 3rd party software arms races.
