Can't wait for this game. Well too bad I will have to wait a long time for this game tho. MMos take way too long to make |

I've played all three of those, and although they do have good CC, they aren't quite as good as this... For one look at what they did with the hair, they took a basic hair model and allow for the player to grow that hair out as long/tall as they want, it even looked directional as well... In those games you mention, all you can do is pick a hair style and recolor it. Also, I can't be 100% sure, but it looked to me like the resizing of the character wasn't slider driven, it looked mouse directional driven to me.. None of the games that you mention have that tattoo customization, even COH doesn't quit have as good of an outfit customization.... And for sure none of them have a 'mount' customization, such as what we saw with the car.

Seen this before, somtime last year. Great stuff. Wonder how much will make into the game? I remember AoC cut a lot of CC stuff right before and even some after launch. Hope the gameplay is worth it. |

Wow, that was really nice, you could make custom clothes and even a car :D I hope this spreads to other games. |

Very very impressive. I wish other games would put the effort in to creation like this. Unfortunately for me the game doesn't really appeal to me, but I do hope to try it at some point, and maybe take away my assumptions. |

I'm afraid that this game will go head first into the uncanny valley, because when the characters look that realistic they need just as realistic animations and facial expressions or our brains work against us and tells us something is looking fake and we get a weird feeling. I just hope they can overcome the uncanny valley, but what I've seen so far from the in game graphics the characters aren't even near what we see in this video, maybe they've scaled back the graphics from when actually playing or I saw xbox 360 footage and this is the PC version. |

You talk as if they are a mutual exclusive.. mmos are about immersion - a great character creator is all about adding to that immersive atmosphere.. if the rest of the game is half as good as the character creator, then we are in for a treat..
However I still haven't read up upon the details, but I hope for something open and sandboxy that includes many playstyles and possibilities... not something zoned, instanced, linear..

and to me, a game where I run into a clone of myself within the first minutes end up in the trash bin within a day. Why? Playng a RPG, it's also about your character, you bieng unique in the world... And when there's just clones on clones on clones out there... The RPG feeling is lost. Ofcourse, the same can be said for gear... If everyone walks around in the same 10 armors...The RPG feeling is lost too.

I think the reason the video excites so much is thinking goes something along the lines of: If the character creation process is so detailed or awesome, imagine what the rest of the game is like! Obviously there is no indication that that line of thinking will play out to be true, but its why that vid gets people's juices flowing. |

Doesn´t a such detailled customization create some lag in bigger FPS-battles? |

I love the level of character customization available! I doubt anyone knows yet, but could we upload custom graphics for tattoos and such? You are playing a video game. By definition that means you are not hardcore. |
