Great job Ripper, yea he is funny, love how he was clueless taking hits on Vega while he was assigning his skills. I see they changed the starting zone a bit since launch looks great!

I kinda like him. Its a quick look at the intro to a game. Rather than get rid of him, as some suggest, perhaps those that do not like him can deign to quit watching his videos.

I hate Oprah. Guess what, I don't watch Oprah.

Wierd, huh?

While I play many MMOs, and am currently playing SWTOR, I always come back to STO as my "go to" game.

STO was a breath of fresh air in the MMO world.  Once the initial bugs were worked out, it became a damn fun game.  It plays like nothing else out there.

I came to it at a time when I was sick of Wow.  I played Rift for a few months, until the similarities to Wow caused me to grow bored, now I am playing SWTOR, and am already getting bored with many of its Wow-like aspects.  But all along I have been playing STO, simply because it's fun and different.

its fine to introduce this games intro but it is highly disappointing end game and it is a themepark in which models usually require a good end game, they have not put out a new STF since launch. They still only have the borg STF's (their versions of dungeons) so anyone NEW playing won't notice until they reach end game level which is severely lacking. They did add hourly events system and they improved the quests to get there but they really need to add STF's in a big way now. I was highly disappointed also that one must wait 1 week per new episode for the dominion. They really need to go back and add STF's for all of the enemy faction questlines they have in place now because the player made episodes in the Foundry are simply not enough.

Ripper is funny, if you don't get him that's your look out TBH. It costs you nothing for him to make vids for those that do.

It was okay but he barely showed anything.  The game (all games usually) have so much more to offer than just the tutorial.

thanks for posting this.  it annoys me when i watch videos to see the gameplay and its just a bunch of cgi cutscenes and intros.  good to see the gameplay

ship missions look kind of fun.  ground missions look kind of dark and drab tho
