    The official Star Trek Online site has been updated with new information about Season 2: Ancient Enemies. Season 2 will see the level cap raised to 51 and the admiral rank added.   • Season 1.1 Now Live; New C-Store Items Released

    Season One Update One aka Season 1.1 is now live. This latest update brings a new difficulty slider to the game, alongside harsher death penalties in the form of an "Injury System" for players participating in content on the advanced and elite difficulty settings. The update also includes a number of quality of life changes such as the ability to auto-fire weapons, freeing players up to focus on tactical positioning instead.

  • Captain Database, My Characters Feature Added

    Cryptic Studios has spruced up the official Star Trek Online website with a few new features. The new features include the Captain's Database, which allows players to search for other characters and bring up their profiles, as well as a My Characters feature which enables players to select their "main character" and view profiles for their various characters outside of the game.

  • Advisory Council Formed, Devs Respond to Uproar

    Late last week Cryptic Studios announced the formation of a Star Trek Online "Advisory Council" whose aim was to essentially widen the feedback net so that the team could hear from more voices in the Star Trek fan community that may not necessarily play Star Trek Online or even have an interest in it. Response to the announcement has been curiously, and overwhelmingly negative, however, stirring up a forum wildfire over the weekend.
