Atari and Cryptic Studios have released a new trailer for Star Trek Online. The trailer depicts Season 2: Ancient Enemies, the second major update to be released for Star Trek Online.

Tentatively scheduled to go live on July 27th, Season 2: Ancient Enemies raises the level cap from 45 to 51 for both Federation and Klingon characters, introduces new Tier 5 ships commensurate with the level cap bump, Mark X1 gear rewards, and level 51 versions of all the currently available Special Task Forces.

The fun doesn't stop there, however, as Season 2 also includes eight new episodes for the Klingon faction, diplomacy gameplay in the form of First Contact missions that send players to meet and interaction with new civilizations, Fluidic Space (five new Undine themed episodes, a new Fleet Action, and new Deep Space Encounters), new mini games including Dabo and Anomaly Scan, weekly episodes beginning in August, and additional customization options for Klingon characters and Fleets.
