The Star Trek Online blog series, The Road to F2P, has been updated with a post about changes coming to the Events Calendar in the game.

The Events Calendar gives players a one-stop resource for checking out all world events to give players the ability to plan in advance or on the fly planning for those who prefer to make on the spur of the moment decisions. The calendar is broken down into Current Missions and Events along with links for more information.

The team also has plans to add further information to the Events Calendar including weekend events, STF weekends and more. In the next several weeks, these features are anticipated to make their appearances in the calendar as well:

• Klingon Academy: Similar to the Starfleet Academy event, but for KDF play.
• Borg Ground Invasion: Our first large-scale ground combat event map. We're having fun playing this one in the office and are looking forward to it getting on Tribble.
• Foundry Expedition: Play Foundry content during this hour to gain extra rewards.
• Fleet Action Focus: We plan to focus on specific Fleet Actions, making it easier to get full groups during that hour since everyone will be wanting to play the same one. Extra rewards will be granted.
