I don't want an official poll for this, but I'm troubled by the fact that I'm like this when it comes to the new game.

I got an email from a friend about beta applications. 

Even though I'm skeptical, and I DON'T like the premise of this game at all in comparison to Perpetual's version (nor have I since the very beginning), I intend to try the beta.  Somehow I feel justified doing this.  Maybe I will feel I have the right to b*tch if I can say I tried the game and still don't like it.

Do any of you feel this way?

Are any of you signing up to play the beta or considering purchasing it even though you are very skeptical and/or have very low expectations of this game in comparison to what Perpetual was going to offer us?
