Since August the 20th, Morgan has started Gemini Fleet. It is a clan that will be playing the game together the day it comes out. Until then, we have many things on the forum. We now have over 170 members.

Hi I'd be interested in joining your clan - but I'd like to know more about the people administering it before hand and also how easy it is to leave should it not be my style. I hope you dont mind my asking but I've joined clans before and they have sometimes not really embraced the ethic and vibe of a game - is there a link to show admin profiles onb the site? Also this bit is in the agreement you have to agree to before joining: "While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised." Ummm is hacking a possability after signing up? |

Hrm Mr. Craig Duncan (aka roundcat)... are you scared somebody will find out your real name? Perhaps you don't want people to know you email address which is: ctd@beeb.net and that you live in London, England? And I'm sorry to say, but if you don't know how 'easy' it is to leave a guild, then you probably shouldn't be part of one. It's really quite simple... you just stop hanging out with and playing with them. Methinks ye might be 12. |

In answer to your question, yes it is easy to leave the Fleet, as it is with most other ''Clan'' sites, or this one for example. About the hacking possibility, every site that you need to sign up for requires you to leave your e-mail. Your e-mail will be kept private if you choose to, and we respect your privacy. The main use for us having your e-mail is to send you important messages, such as administration issues.

I should also add we are currently playing as a group in Second Life as well. This is very fun to do, and our first in-game experience. Our group there is called Epsilon Fleet, as Valkyriefleet.com and geminifleet.com are working together in SL.

Originally posted by Toadmonkey I myself am from the Netherlands, that is GMT +2 at the moment, we have a lot of people from the US, who live in -7, -6 and minus 5. But there are also some other members who live in Europe, like Norway and Sweden. And we have members from Australia too, so almost at any time of the day there are some members. I shared your feelings too before I joined, but it's really not a problem. -- |

I would join if I wasn't already running a clan, which hasen't gotten a single member after being existant for several months.

Well it doesn't do any harm to check out the site, maybe you did. Getting a fleet up and running all by yourself is something very hard, and you need active people at the start or it won't work.

True, I know its a very good idea to start clans/guilds before a game launch, especially good friends coming across from other games, but, as it is, I'm one of those who does more soloing in the beginning of games, just to get a feel for such games.
I'm sure STO will have a new player friendly atmosphere, and, once I'm through some of the intial missions, may start looking for that right fitting guild/clan my plans for now are to wait until the game starts open invit Beta to get a feel for the game.
This is no insult to all those who are starting these guilds/clans, but, just don't want to join a group for a game, only to find the group disbands very shortly after the game is launched, all because it didn't live up to expectations, I've had this happen to me 3 times now, and, I ended up haveing no fun afterwards. |

Everybody has different experiences yes, but we're not ALL about Star Trek: Online. Although this one of the main purposes of the Guild, we are also concentrating on Roleplaying on the forums, that has to do with Star Trek in general. The upcoming game will ofcourse be linked to the site, but since the game is still some time away, there's enough to participate in even if you won't be joining the fleet in the game. And CrushinFlame, did you only visit the site 20 times without creating an account or did you create one? Because if you do, more threads will become visible. (more when you entered the Academy / get a position aboard one of the ships) -- |

We can also be found in Second Life, as Valkyriefleet and Gemini Fleet together, merged into one fleet for Second Life. Meet us there if you have an account, Epsilon Fleet.

well this is excellent. now we just need a game to put these guilds too and everything would be wonderful "And after blizzard takes over the world, they are gonna gather a bunch of lemmings, sit on their fat asses near a cliff, and watch the little fuzzy bastards suicide dive into the ground below. . . . . all just for their own entertainment." |

hi, ive been holding out joining a clan since i don't really see any progression from the games developers and joining a clan may be pretty pointless untill we have some hard evidence that the game is going to be released. tho i have had a look on your forum was just wondering if you were a European clan, not much point being in a clan with people who play opposite times to me. Thanx xxx |

Agree with MilkyGirl I live on the west coast and have a hard time hooking up with guilds. East coast guilds pose a problem for me. But this is mute: PE-X most likly will cut corners to get the product out (will it be worth playing).....if they survive the lawsuit and bad PR. |
