Heroes are about character - not gear.

Not sure if everybody would agree with the "hot" factor - and considering the backstory of the kisses, they were not quite lesbian...so...

But yeah, ep 4:6 and 7:12...

Still, DS9 was atrocious overall.

Not as bad as Enterprise but on par with Voyager.

Face it, the Trekkies and Trekkers basically ignore the rest.

I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?

Deep Space 9 was hard for me to get into because it was such departure from Next Generation.  Once I started watching it regularly, I actually enjoyed it just as much as the previous series.

To me DS9 is the pinnacle of what ST should be .  And far better than the vanilla next gen.

DS9... was such... you know - like - a daytime soap opera.

By the time the show got any umph, it was too late.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but I prefered Babylon 5 particularly because of G'kar, Londo and the enigmatic Kosh.

IMO, they can be sorted by age,,the oldest are the worst

star trek enterprise might be the worst from a Financial view, but the competition is also much harder now

Voyager had some epic scenes with the borg

DS9 had the dominion and the cardassians

TOS and TNG is hard to Watch Again, theyre just so cheap, compared to the newer ones

From what I heard, J. Michael Straczynski went to Paramount to pitch his show, B5. They liked it so much, they stole his idea and the story from him to make DS9.

DS9 was like a nerdy soap opera lol.  TNG and Voyager were the best.

It's hard to pick a best.  I loved all the series of Star Trek.  Each one has something great about it.  In DS9, I loved Bashir for his humanity.  He was such an interesting character to me.

Me too.  I love characters more than any one series, but each has its own appeal to me.  Some of myy favorites (if I really have to pick) are Bashir, the doctor (makes me wonder if he's actually The Doctor), Tuvok, Neelix, Worf, Geordi, O'Brien, and the entire reboot cast.  No disrespect intended for all the other characters I love, which is basically all of them.

For STO I think DS9 fits great into the game.  The story area feels a lot more tangible than the other series settings.  Most of the worlds in the other series have a disconnected feel.  The entire series is set in this place you can point to on a map and that lends itself well to a persistent world.

I too preferred Babylon 5 and it's not hard to see that DS9 borrowed from it,in fact the more successful B5 got the more DS9 seemed to borrow.

I just wish they never did that last superfluous season of Babylon 5 it should of ended as planned.

Agreed. To each their own but I can't fathom how anyone can watch (most of) Next Generation, DS9 or voyager now without cringing their guts into a knot. The thing about the 'modern' era Star Trek is that all of those actors (with some notable exceptions like Patrick Stewart) were all recycled from the B-actor pool of the American acting underbelly who had spent their careers in things like dynasty and falcon Crest. It shows best in the Janeways and Rykers. Now compare that to Battlestar Galactica where performances and script, aside from atrocious plot shifts, were actually credible and more durable as a result.

Flamed for, why? B5 rocked. And not even offtopic, since Andreas Katsulas was Tomalak in TNG before he became G'Kar. :)

Nice necro, +3years...

But I guess, each to their own. For me it's the opposite, sorted by age, and the oldest is the best. TOS, the books and the first movies were the top (and no, not that hard to watch again, I just re-watched them a couple months ago), then TNG and the movies. After that a huge gap ... then DS9. It's not bad, just very (meaning VERY) average and even dull in some cases. But Torvaldr's right, it's great contribution to STO's world.

Then a huge gap again, and somewhere in the distance (lol) VOY and ENT... honestly I couldn't decide which one is the worse... but then came the 2 new Trek movies :)

heh, nice necro

DS9 was my favorite series of all the Star Trek. Probably because it was different than the rest of them.

Also they had the best collection of actors of any of the series.

DS9 is the only Star Trek series I have been able to see all episiodes. Voyager is just painful with unbeleviable characters and bad scripts.
