MMO's are okay, just don't let them run your life.

I remember how this game looked in the beginning. I would have to say we all would have to buy 1gig cards to play it, regardless the lag would be far to great. It was an impressive start, but way to complicated a system. I wish they had 200 of the best C++ programmers on the planet working on this game, but in all fairness it would be just to great of a challenge, even bandwidth wise.  A complex MMO with a sense of achievement in small doses, providing early gratification, but still only completing a small part of the much longer and larger goal, is what this game would have to be for me.

I didnt think it was actual game footage, just concept art. They didnt really get very far with it

There were a few screens with actual in game graphics. They looked very nice. Overall I really liked PE approach to Startrek and had they been able to make to the game the way they wanted to, it would've been great.

I'm happy that Cryptic has picked up the license from PE, but I really would've preferred PE's idea of the game over cryptic's!

I saw some of those gameplay screenshots...  They just seemed a bit off to me.  I'm not even sure what it was about them.  But, they just seemed wrong somehow.  Go figure.  I'm happy with what we've seen from Cryptic.

PE would of killed Star Trek and any life of a Star Trek MMO.

The perpetual version was going to be a lot shinier.

Turd polish?  ;p  Sorry but I always perceived PE to be a vaporware vendor.  Cryptic is putting out, so I'm happy with that.

I would much rather sacrifice some "Sho' is pretty" graphics for better gameplay.

Weaker graphics also allows more computers to be able to run the game, and the advanced computers just run it that much more smoothly

Excellent point!!! That is my sentiment exactly, there have been games with superior graphics that have bombed due to content.  I am confident that Cryptic will make a great STO.  And, they are listening to the players....you will eventually get updated gameplay to satisfy most gamers wishes.
