Relationship System Arriving Soon
A brand new relationship system will be introduced with the upcoming v3.0.3 patch. Family, friendship and marriage relationships can be entered into, with in game bonuses as the reward. Bonuses come in the form of stat enhancement when paired players are grouped together as well as a bonus given to your partner should health fall below a certain level.

New Arena, Pet System and Mounts
Runes of Magic servers have been updated with the latest patch, v3.0.2. The Warnorken Castle update brings several new features into Taborea including 2-person mounts, a new 6 person arena and the ability to actively raise personal pets.

New Mount Added, Old Mounts Make a Return
Frogster has announced the addition of a new Ground Gyphon Mount as well as the return of several popular mounts, including the Dawn and Phantom Ferret mounts, Witch Broom mount, Flying Rune Disc, and Ruzio, the expedition donkey to the game's item shop.

Chapter III Goes Live Tomorrow; Downtime Announced
We've got some good news, and some bad news. The good news, Frogster has announced that Chapter III: The Elder Kingdoms will go live tomorrow, May 18th. The bad news? The game servers, the regular website, and forums will be down as part of a scheduled downtime that will last a full 24 hours.

Chapter III: Phase One Goes Live This Week
Patch 3.0.0 also known as "Phase One" of Runes of Magic's Chapter III: The Elder Kingdoms update, will hit live servers sometime this week. This latest update will raise the level cap to 60, add the new "Thunderhoof Hills" zone, introduce a new collectible card system to the game, improve the game's party recruitment and public encounters interfaces, add new guild castle features and minigames, and more.

Chapter III to Add New Guild Features
In the next few weeks Frogster plans on releasing prelaunch content for Runes of Magic's next major update, Chapter III: The Elder Kingdoms. The new content includes the previously announced Thunderhoof Hills zone and Monster Card System, as well as the newly announced guild improvements and features. As far as guild features go, players can look forward to three new minigames, guild quests, and the addition of stone walls to existing guild castles.

"The Challenge" Facebook Game Announced
Frogster has announced the development of a new Facebook game called "Runes of Magic - The Challenge," which is as you would guess, based in the Runes of Magic universe. The game will feature tie-ins to the full fledged MMORPG as well, as players will be able to earn special cards that grant rewards in the MMORPG.

Celebrates One Year Anniversary; Announces Voice Chat
Today marks the first anniversary of service for Frogster Interactive's free-to-play fantasy MMORPG Runes of Magic. To celebrate this milestone, Frogster has announced a week long event consisting of daily contests on Facebook, a number of shop promotions, and double XP (quests and mobs) and TP (mobs only).

6,000 Euro Challenge Announced
Frogster Interactive has announced a new 6,000 Euro Challenge contest for Runes of Magic. During this week's contest, a GM playing the role of the Runewalker will appear on a random server once a day, and the first player to challenge him to a duel (winning isn't necessary) will receive a pack of five Golden Repair Hammers and one God's Redemption Ticket, and will be entered into a 1,000 Euro prize draw.

Frogster Interactive has announced that Chapter III: The Elder Kingdoms, the next chapter of Runes of Magic, will hit live servers this May. Chapter III will bring a new continent for players to explore, replete with new dungeons and unexplored regions, as well as a new skill system, and a bump in the level cap to 60.

Fight Demon Lord Sirloth in New Instance
Players eager to take down the Demon Lord Sirloth since the release of "Chapter I - Rise of the Demon Lord" to Runes of Magic will finally have the chance! Frogster Interactive has announced that they will be updating Runes of Magic with a new instance called the "Demon Stronghold" in the next content update, which will allow players to finally go head to head with the malevolent Demon Lord Sirloth, in what is being billed as the ultimate boss fight.

Frogster Institutes New Diamonds Policy
Nasty hackers have been stealing PayPal accounts and credit card information in order to make fraudulent purchases of Diamonds (Runes of Magic's item shop currency) and gift them away to their main accounts. This situation has prompted Frogster Interactive, the folks behind Runes of Magic, to make a change to the Diamond trading policy.
