So i just started playing Runes Of Magic. I actually played in beta but my cousin wouldn't stick around so i didn't either. Now that i don't have anyone to play MMOs with anymore (besides my g/f, which she is open to rpgs like i) I decided to give it another shot since i've been flying through MMOs and cant seem to find one that feels right to me. I know thier is alot of negitive talk about the game i read about on here, like "Its a WoW clone". Though it seems to be pretty close, i actually really like the idea. To me, its like i always wished WoW was. It feels like vanilla WoW but better really. I love how there is no factions. It makes of more personal game like UO was. I love the charecter customazation. Beautiful world that feels homey, and it is bright and colorful. (i cant stand smoggy looking skys) I love how in the day the skys are blue with white cloudes, and and night you see the stars. It has a real feel to it, but at the same time, almost has an anime feel to it also alouing you to make charecters that look really neat and unreal instead of bulky ass ugly faces to imitate a man at war.

Now i know im just blabbing nonsense but all those little things matter to me in a Rpg.

Oh yeah. I really love also how you can train multiple classes with 1 toon. Not that it makes you anymore unique. Its just a cool to keep 1 toon but play multiple classes with 1 instead of making alts.

Anyways i am playing on the server Grimdal. I was wondering if anyone on here plays on that server?

Govinda vet here... I'm thinking about going back and starting fresh.

It is a fun game, and has probably the best community (at least in govinda).

The only sad part is that getting close to max level is 1/100th of the battle. You have hundreds upon hundreds of hours farming events before you can even start raiding. And then hundreds upon hundreds of hours of raiding before you can start having fun in pvp/siege.

Yeah tbh. I really like the idea of it taking a Looong time to max. You actually feel in the end like you are somebody and feel that sense of achivment. When WoW became dumbed down like it did and easy to hit end game. It made me feel like i wasn't special or had accomplished anything great. (That is another big deal to me in a MMO) So more power to the game for that. You should have to earn being epic.

Problem is some kid can come along with $300 and beat your 600 hours of work. That bothers me. That's my biggest problem with MMORPG's right now.

Parents? Most kids these days have a 360+ps3+several dozen $50 games. If they prefer computer games, good chance all that money is going into an MMO.

And it doesn't have to all be at once.

The way they did multi-classing killed the game for me. It should just distribute the XP between the two classes instead of making you grind through the same levels twice on the same character.

This game is starting to die slowly now....loosing lots of players :( chapter 4, with all the 200 shell gear from 120 shells, prices rose up, on artemis server, diamond sellers selling for high prices, gear costing a lot, things in item shop overpriced, ... ehh

most people quiting, waiting for the game to get better economically... some probably wont come back. oh well, frogster got greedy with all their things..

they nerfed scouts, and rogue is the new scout pretty much, i crit like 300k or more in hos, and w/r's are impressive now a guy did a 1.3mill crit in DoD, mages can 1 hit kill people with flame pretty much.. scouts still good but not op...people are doing the thing where they switch to the op class witch is annoying and becoming rogues...

i have a problem with this game.whenever i try to launch,it reaches 79% and then it freezes what should i do?

try re-installing it
