These companies realize that if they sell items that appeal to a players need to be better than the next guy then they will have a steady cash flow. So if they make an item that may or may not make your gear better and get cash for then they know people will buy it becasue player are greedy. Sorry but RMT MMOs are not the only companies that do this and if you gamble the house will always win.

This is not a scam. A scam would be if you purchased an in game item that had certain qaulities on the web site and then had lesser qaulities when you recieved the item. This is a business model to support a free game.

Some people shouldn't play F2P MMOs with RMT because when they feel they have been taken advantage of then they come here and complain and every other player who feels they got burned by another RMT MMO agree with them and all the players who haven't because they play for a different reason other than leveling fast or having uber PVP gear disagree with them.

The "scam" part is most definately true. Give me any other good reason whatsoever that they REFUSE....absolutely REFUSE to give you the chanceof upgrading on the cash shop jewels.

Hell, they even went so far as to change the wording to make it look like they don't fail at all. Like I mentioned earlier, this game is nothing more than a copy of various successful items from other MMO's to make as much money and as quickly as they can.

The most recent nonsense that I just got a great laugh about on their forums was them nerfing the HP and Mana pots and then placing better pots in the Cash Shop....please, by all means go dump your money down this well and come back here in a month or two and respond right after you punched yourself in the face 12 times for stupidity.

If those jewels were a "scam" then people wouldn't keep buying them over and over. They'd buy them once, realize they were scammed, then stop. And the failure rate isn't as bad as the nay-sayers are making it out to be. Getting an item to +4 is almost a given. It's when you try to push it to +5 or +6 that it starts to get risky.

That's pretty much the mantra of every business... making as much money as quickly as they can. It's in their best interest to make a quality game because that's the quickest way to make a lot of money. They certainly couldn't make much if they were putting out a crap product.

1) Well of course there is a "chance" to upgrade your items with the cash shop jewels just not the chance you want. The jewels are a gamble and if you are not willing to take a gamble don't buy the jewels.

2) Well of course they copied other successful MMOs, did you expect them to copy failed MMOs? Do you think they would try something expermintal? No, they made the cloniest of the WoW clones, made it free with  RMT. Really this is one of the most well thought out F2P MMOs on the market today. Why make a WoW clone and then dress it up as something else trying not to look like WoW? Just make a copy of WoW, without getting into copy right issues, let everyone know it is a clone so those who want to play WoW but with out playing WoW can play WoW.

3) Making goods obsolete so the consumer has to purchase more is the oldest way to make money. This is why you have to buy new hair dryer or coffee maker every now and again becasue most people won't spend the money to get something that will last for years and manufactures are banking on this. If player could farm or craft pots that are just as good or better then those in the itemshop then the company can't pay the bills and will close down. As far as the amount of money I spend on this game right now it is $0.00.  How much will it be in a month maybe $10.00 because I want a horse to ride. So even if I spend $15.00 a month on average I am still no poorer then playing a P2P MMO. I am not rushing to end game I am walking mostly because I want to just play the game.

The only way to play any RMT is not to fall into the trap of having to be the bestest the fastest. You have to plan out what you want and need to buy with real money and then stick to it. I you can't do this then you should only play a P2P MMO, but not one with a item mall attached or you will really be screwed.

Keep spending dummies. Keep spending. I got a great laugh off what they did to all the Euro players....Only time before it happens to US. As for you Six, your nonsense on this forum is about as stupid as the nonsense you post on the RoM forums. Keep defending this terrible company. This business model really shows how stupid people can be, and you fit the bill perfectly. Anyhow, you suckers enjoy this fiasco...I've deleted it completely.
