This video, I don't see the DC Comics in it. It looks like a generic console game, and not a particularly interesting one at that.

50+15 for this? Well, I'll try a free trial first just to be sure, but right now it's looking pretty weak.

Not a threat to CoH, but Champs should be worried.

I think they keep pushing platform to hype it up more. Im thinking they are doing this b/c of the high fail rate for mmo's on platform. They know pc is most likely going to fine and well off so no real need to push it.

Also, the layout of the game look almost just like SWG. From the mini map to the option bar to the player health.

But if I have to start all my characters while looking like a doofus theres no way I'd play this.

As always, SOEs programming and Technical Art Staff is impressive.  However, their Art in General is still lackluster.  Their are something like 6~10 textures that are repeated on most of the screen, and those do not look that impressive.  The texture depth and usage in general looks poorly planned.  The color palette as well is just so awful looking and basic.  Then there is the lack of game assets.  For a game with a large budget, the variety of noticable models is poor.

Then it will probably be linked with SOEs archaic patching system and infamous management.

Yes Ninja Boy, Console Gaming was for kiddie games like Super Mario Bross only... in  1985!

Do you know that games like Mass Effect 1-2 and Bioshock are  Console games  ported to PC?

Demon's Souls is well know to be the most challenging and hardcore RPG of the last years... and it is a PS3 exclusive game...

You probably don't knowm but today the PS3 and 360 are much more lucrative for FPS games developers than the PC.

Beside MMOs, the majority of games that really sell very well on PC are casual games like The Sims, did you know that? Real mature or challenging games like Demon's Souls, Call of Duty, God of War, Bioshock, Fallout, Ninja Gainden, Folklore, Siren, Mass Effect and even Battlefield are much, much more popular on Consoles than on PCs these days... don't you belive me? Check the selling numbers.

You know when someone say that Age of Conan and Star Trek online are shallow because they are "Console" games... well, surprise! They are PC exclusive games, they lack polish and quality to be released as a Console game...funny, don't you think?

Oh, and surveys reveal most Console (PS3/360) players, just like PC gamers are between 25 and 35 years old... sure you will find older and younger people playing on Consoles... and on PCs.

And like XI, they will share the same servers.  They were hoping to have it on the 360 as well, but just last week SE said it won't be happening until they and Microsoft can hammer something out, which doesn't seem likely.

DCUO is the MMO that'll separate servers for the PS3 and PC.  Which is a bad move IMO.

Yes the console market is huge. But its huge in throw away gaming. They buy a game play it and move on to the next one.

The subscription style of MMO gaming is going to be tiny from the comsole market. And thats tiny when you compaire it to PC gamers or console gamers.

I dont really understand why they choose to alienate their biggest market. Maybe like someone else said, the PC market is a gimmie. Why bother.

Then again with so many MMO coming out, dont snub your biggest market, I say. We are a finite resourse. And I think all these new and old MMO companys are going to find that out to their detrement within the next few years.

To the ppl calling it crappy artwork you do relize that a DC artist is the one makeing the art for the game its not some dude playing with textures its a DC artist who is doing the artwork.

to the person a few posts above stateing why mmo's fail on the console another reason is console gamers dont wanna pay a monthly fee.

and last to the pc owner crying about upgradeing a pc that era is long gone sure you gotta upgrade your pc but its about the same life as a console now if you built it right the first time .

I am sick and tired of ppl bashing this game and crying all they show is PvP video's if thats all you seen then you have not seen any real video's of the game most are PvE.
