  • Fight for the Light DLC Announced

    Sony Online Entertainment has announced DC Universe Online: Fight for the Light, the first downloadable content for DC Universe Online. "Fight for the Light" will introduce new Green Lantern themed content to the game, including the new Light powerset, as well as the ability for players to create their own Lantern-themed heroes and villains.

    The DC Universe Online team has revealed details of the next game update, Ra's al Ghul's Revenge. Ra's al Ghul is an international terrorist who teams up with Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing in an attempt to return the earth to its 'natural' state, namely it's state without humans.

    Sony Online Entertainment and DC Universe Online devs have announced that Update 3 is now officially live. The update brings new content, a boatload of bug fixes, themed missions and much more to the game. The full patch notes have been posted on the official forums.

  • Update 3 Developer Roundtable

  • Chris Cao's Departure Confirmed

    In a new post on the DC Universe Online forums, it has been confirmed that Chris Cao is indeed leaving Sony Online Entertainment. While not mentioning Cao by name, the producer's letter introduces "new game director Mark Anderson". The letter also talks about Update 3 and progress the team is making towards getting out.

  • April Producer's Letter

    DC Universe Online Producer Wes Yanagi has penned a short note on the official site talking about yesterday's release of Update 2. Included in the general discussion about Update 2, Yanagi mentions that the DCUO team was impacted by the recent SOE layoffs but is still steaming ahead with Update 3 and that the team has every intention to continue delivering "awesome content".

    At this writing, DC Universe Online servers are offline to bring Update 2 into the game. The new update features new content including the Bat Cave Raid, Two Face and The Penguin arriving, new appearance items, a new social UI and a whole lot more.
