Facebook Animation Contest
Sony Online Entertainment has partnered with Mass Animation for a new DC Universe Online Animation contest. The contest will allow for players to use the Mass Animation Facebook application to download digital models which can then be animated using a special version of Autodesk's Maya 3D software. Applicants will then upload their animations back through the Mass Animation application for others to view and vote on.

Enter Bizzaro!
SOE has released a bevy of new screenshots, renders, and concept art of one of the DC Universe's most iconic villains: Bizzaro! Bizzaro's powers are generally the opposite of Superman's, such as flame breath instead of ice breath, and even Kryptonite works differently on Bizzaro, powering him up instead of weakening him.

Early Storline, Specialties Revealed
Some new information on the early storyline and character choices players will make is being reported over at Variety's "The Cut Scene". In a sort of City of Heroes origin choice on steroids, players will choose from three specialties when creating a hero or villain in DC Universe Online: tech, superhuman, or magic based powers.

Who's Your BFF? Video Contest
Running from July 16, 2009 (6:00PM PT)through August 15, 2009. (1:59AM PT)is a new DC Universe Online video contest. The "Who's your BFF?" contest has participants submit a 30 second video describing their best friend or foe from the DC Universe and why they would like to meet them in-game. Two top entries will be selected, and the winners will receive a Lex Luthor in Power Armor poster signed by Jim Lee and the DC Universe Online team.
