I've never been able to get into F2P games. I've tried this game before in beta and uninstalled before level 20 due to the unpolished feeling of the interface. Almost every single F2P game when compared to Aion and WoW look....wel bad and unpolished. |

Well, of course they are going to look unpolished, they have a tiny fraction of the budget. And frankly, although it's improved somewhat of late, it basically had the look and feel of a 1990s shareware game. Still, to answer your question, I have a lifetime sub to LOTRO (and have Moria, spent like $300 on it in total) and I play this instead. Then again, that perhaps says how slow and boring and grindy LOTRO is than anything else. http://my.lotro.com/character/landroval/galadthryth/ |

I still believe that there are more f2p games that are better that the p2p nowadays... Like AO, I've been playing this for almost a year now and I admit that there's a lot of changes com e up, but still surviving because I know that I will never seen game like this before... http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm138/Syreange/mysigcopy-1.jpg |

comparing with other FP2 games out there...well...atlantica is pretty, nice lights and stuff... but i dont know, i prefer P2P games where i have equal chances as everybody else in the game to get something, its not money-based (and luck, in the case of atlantica boxes) if u want a cool thing for your char. Nothing against P2P games. Still have atlantica in my PC XD

AO is particular as you're playing 9 characters at the same time, so it's harder to build a clear interface. Ndoors improved it a bit since the beta (more colors, inventory filtering, better fonts), but the interface still is a mess. Atlantica-db.com, Atlantica Online fansite. |

I used to play some F2P games like RF online and Ragnarok but when I heard about Atlantica Online I tried it and instantly got hooked. Some of my fellow players in the F2P games also tried and liked AO. |

I actually liked it more coz of the gameplay and the gambles. I like the way that everything is random. I do IM but i really love the chances. Unlike oher games wherein if you are rich IRL, you are very rich in game. at least with jsut 1 box. there is a chance to get an item and the same goes for the richer gamers who buys 100+ boxes. a chance to get nothing. lol |

like what i've shared also in another thread:
Pay to play- This is somewhat for those who wants a better graphics and gameplay which is quite important to attracting the audience. And expect less lag, but if you got bored with it since you are paying the subscription, you will be forced to play it since you're PAYING money and you simply don't want to waste money till your subscription ends. No choice?
For a Free to play- This attracts more gamers and most popular since it's free anytime you can try it right? once you don't feel the game you can just look for the other. Some f2p are not has a great graphics and gameplay compare to the p2p. And Expect more lags and more botters...?

I tried to like it. I have liked other turn based games like this when I was growing up. Ogre Battle on ps1 was my fav game of all time besides warcraft 3. I hated the time limit. I thought it was bullshit. Made me realize if this is what ftp does to genres I enjoy, Im never gonna play one again. |

Well it was still depends on your preference, for me there's should be the Time Limit of course it's a turn based game... it was more challenging it shows how fast you can think for a strategy given a time... http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm138/Syreange/mysigcopy-1.jpg |

Yep, it still looks and plays crappy and unpolished. One could think they would fix one or two bugs after the people constantly buy gambling boxes at the overpriced cash shop. I could go on bashing this game, but on the other side it does have so many good ideas, and I like different gameplay, where most P2P games are mostly the same. |

When you realize that you are happy with a certain game that's the time that you can say that this game is what your looking for. http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm138/Syreange/mysigcopy-1.jpg |

You never give up, eh? ;) Maybe it will be, if they throw away all the licenses etc. |

Maybe just the health check cuz for me.. that's supposed to be a given. for the other licenses you can go on without. THis game does have a travel agency. For me that's just what needs to be changed with regards to the licenses. |

You can’t ever win if you’re always on the defensive, to win, you have to attack. |
