I was actually wondering why this game is giving some item mall licenses for free when I started the game days ago. But after my teleportation license`s time ran out, I`ve figured out why. You CAN NEVER play this game without a teleportation license. Some other licenses are needed, but all having a reasonable price but this one! for a level 38 player I can`t pay 2.4 mil a day for it. And it`s, on the other hand, too expensive to be bought from item mall, like I`m gonna pay 10$ per month only so that I can teleport.

I kinda accept most of the item mall stuff prices, but this is way to much to pay just to teleport. Is there any other way to avoid this or I`m gonna have to leave the game?

1) Make alts

2) Do the quest that gives you the license

3) ????

4) Profit.

1) What do you mean by "Make alts"?

2) I dunno about them! are those quests repeatable or not?

3) ???

4) Still ???

I knew about the travel agency, but it`s just not enough! You can teleport only from town to town, which isn`t good for dungeon quests. Dungeons are like a maze and the Automove is too stupid there. If you need to fight a boss in 4th floor you`ll be spending like 20-30 mins + 10-15 stamina just to get there. Getting out of the dungeon is even worse.

This is the main reason I didn't bother playing the game after my initial licenses expired.

I've simply noticed that if you want to have a decent play experience you will need the Warrior's Package that includes the licenses you had a trial of (they don't include all licenses in it). And that's $15 a month, the game is basically P2P just because of that, and we are not even analyzing the hundreds of other item mall items which are very tempting.

Atlantica may be the only "tactical" MMO in this sense around, but just because it is the only one it doesn't mean I need to pay way over $15 a month if I enjoy it (if I play a game I don't want to feel handicapped in comparison to others that pay more than me, especially when I had a taste of what these handicaps are - aka instant teleportation to any map, dungeon level entrance in the game.

And making alts (new characters) to get the licenses and transfer to your main character, that's just... too grindish.

Sure, you can play without all these and maybe still enjoy the game, but I'm not this kind of gamer that can have fun when there is a who-spends-more per month contest for improved gameplay and which cripples you... a lot.

Why do you need a teleportation license?

You know, you can teleport from town to town without one. And there are what, 60 towns.

I'm not saying it's not handy when you have to constantly go to the last floor of a dungeon. But it certainly isn't needed. Not even close.  I haven't used one for months (since the free ones they gave you ran out).

Except in shadow dungeons, most mobs don't really aggro much. So it's not like you have to fight every 5 steps, like in some games. Just weave around them.

You can auto-move to dungeons and use the WASD keys to move arround monsters that get in your way without exiting auto-move. Getting out of dungeons is the easiest part. I have no idea why you say that it's even worth when you can directly teleport out of there to ROME (Arena is the least crowded area there IMO) and from there you can teleport to the town where your quests are. And you complain at level 38? That's insect dungeon... There even the auto-move rarely hit's a monster (except maybe the frist floor where the ant workers are) . And for your information, from the quest giver to the 4th floor it should never take you  more than 7-13 minutes (loading screens included)...

Come on... Give me a break!

Ok, you guys proved you`re right :). I was just worried because some high level players said that the teleportation licence is like a must in this game O.o

@ EricDanie

The game is even better than some p2p games. I`ve played FF and still atlantica has this thing that makes it better. And it actually worth paying for it. It`s just the concept that I`m not gonna pay to do the basic actions like teleporting.

@ dhrddm

It`s not like complaining at level 38! It`s just like I don wanna spend alot of time playing before I find out that I have to pay 20~30$ a month just to be able to do things that are the basics of any other MMO. I still remember sro when I was paying 10~15$ a month and I thought that was it till I found out that a premium is a must have and it costs 30$ per month, or pw and 2moons where you have to pay for autopotion (or maybe the potion itself ?)... I loled

anyway thanks for your answers and I really appretiate you help, and sorry for the bad english :D
