Haven-Worlds Delayed Slightly

A new developer diary has cropped up on the Wakfu site to give players information about the Haven-Worlds mini-housing delay. Originally set to release on June 18th, the team has taken player feedback and is making a few changes in preparation for a June 25th launch.

Ankama Takes Over North American Publishing

Square Enix has announced that it will no longer be publishing Wakfu in North America. Ankama Games will take complete control of community management, customer support, promotion, sales, marketing and other live operation duties.

World of Kwismas Arrives

Wakfu players, both free and subscribers, will want to check into the game to take part in the Kwismas celebration going on from now through January 11th. The event features gifts, a new PvP area, a pair of new dungeons and more, all with holiday flair.

Krosmaster Arena Announced

Both DOFUS and Wakfu players will be able to take one another on in a competitive PvP atmosphere with the announcement of Krosmaster Arena. Players from both games will be able to enter the arena without leaving their game clients. Krosmaster Arena is anticipated to be released in late 2012.

Questing for Bosses Update Released

Wakfu has officially been updated to v1.5. The new patch, subtitled "Questing for Bosses", the content update brings Ultimate Bosses, new dungeons, new pets, class balancing, and other tweaks and balances to combat, crafting, questing, and PvP.

Officially Launches in NA

Officially LaunchingFebruary 29th

Square Enix and Ankama Games are taking advantage of the extra day in February to officially launch Wakfu around the world. Wakfu will officially hit retail release on February 29th, Leap Year Day.
