Alright i never played dofus or whatever, however that game seems to have a strange "large" following to it.  I understand this game to be the next generation of dofus or whatever.

My question is, whats this type of games catch, why is it so populair.

How can i go about trying this game before buying it (i understand wakfu is going to be p2p which is fine) as ive never tried this type of game before, and am not sure if im going to like it, or that it will be too childish of an enviroment ect.

So basically, for someone completely foreign to this type of game, whats it all about, why should i try this over a modern game?

How can i go about trying this to see if this is really a type of game that will meet my interests ect?

Any insight to this type of games allure ?

and by "this type of game" i mean the dofus/wakfu games.

Wakfu is very different from other MMOs. Combat is turn based and really tactical and forces you to think instead of spamming the same key sequence again and again. Wakfu has (will have once it launches) really deep crafting and harvesting system, good character stat-customization options when you level, political system with player elections, governorns, laws and prison for lawbreakers, and ecological system where monsters live in families instead of just wandering around and possibility for players to wipe some plants/monsters completely out from an area or introduce new species to replace them. It's one of the better attempts to create a living virtual world instead of just a game.

The game is currently in beta, I'd imagine that there will be free trial area when it launches.

Sounds like an interesting game..

I don't think I've ever played a turn based MMO before even though i loved games like disgaea or final fantasy tactics.

Would be interesting to try it out and see if it actually works in a MMO.. any way to get into a beta on this game?
