Hello,

I used to play years ago when there were large battles and people running everywhere. I saw the population dwindle and I left the game when i became somewhat difficult to find a fight. What is it like now. I loved the game and it appears to have improved. the realism more then made up for the graphics. I dont care much for the newer games where everyone is a sniper or has a gun that sprays lead wildly across a battlefield. I enjoyed the skill it took to play this game. Anyway how many people are on these days? I am hoping to find out with out throwing $15 away.

It is still a very high skill based game.  I felt bad killing the same Recruit 6 times.  He kept thinking I was in the Depot with him but he stuck his head out every time.

The battles are concentrated now due to AO so there are only one or two fights going on.  It still takes allot of set up but then it always was realistic in that way.

If you're considering coming back, you might want to wait until 1.31 goes live. It completely changes the look and feel of the game, to the point that I really can't stand logging into 1.30 anymore.

But yes, you can find some large-scale battles still going on.

Low pop these days are "crickets" all over.

In prime time you will find "large battles", but only 1 or 2.
