Gee I hope the rat's don't get too depressed or offended with criticism, like when I say something like, "Allied easymode."  I don't wish them harm, or hate the rats personally, I wish them luck since wiionline is the game I've played since 2001 on and off (about 4 straight years of subscriptions).  4 years is about 10 times more then any other game i've ever played.

OK news gets to me slow, this is like 6 months old info.  What have I been doing this 6 months?   Playing wwiionline mostly.  Allied easymode.

I've been on the prowl looking for a game to play like pre-CU SWG, so I googled Ralph Koster's name (he who provided the original vision and framework for  SWG) to see what he was up to these days, and ran across this.

Tried free trial of Vanguard and Lord of the Rings Online.

What is Ralph Koster up to these days?  Anyone know?  He's pretty wordy on his blog:  http://www.raphkoster.com/

Metaplace?!

The rat's seem to be under pressure lately that's all.  And SWG/WWIIONLINE/PLANETSIDE are on the opposite side of the spectrum from WOW/WOWclone/maple story.  Like a political spectrum, to the right Republican and fascist, to the left Communist and Democrat, or you could add a 5th dimension and pretend that is Libertarian.

And wether or not it is relavent don't matter since I spent most my time trolling wwiionline forums.

I have to agree with the other poster... what does this have to do with WWIIOL....   I am sorry for that persons family but on the other side of the coin... I have become more hateful and cruel the older I have become... I have had friends die... I have seen people die, both in the civilian world, and on the battlefield (the real one).    I have handed a flag off to a grieving mother because her son was killed in action.    I knew that kid.   He was 19.   But how do I feel about someone who kills themself....   they are a f*cking quiter and didnt need to be in the gene pool, best they remove themselves before they hurt someone else.

I dont want anyone to die.  But if they want to want to kill themself then I will not talk them out of it.    With that said, I dont like DOC in CRS,  but do I want him dead... NO, why, he wont learn anything, and there is enough death in the world.

And yes I am a asshole.

So much crap, so little quality.

I just want to point out that there was other reasons for Jeff's demise than "SWG criticism".

In the months before the shocking news of his death, Jeff had sought out the SWG veterans, and entered a dialogue with them, making amends and even earning back the trust and friendship of some of those players that he had "lost" when SOE and his boss Smedley had ordered the destruction of SWG.

According to Jeffs brother, the death was unrelated to the SWG criticism, but more related to his health and other problems(if I remember correctly).

As for a correlation to WW2OL? There are none, since the death wasnt due to criticism over a game.... If it had been, it would have been a connection, since the rats do recieve a unhealthy dose of criticism.

Heck, even I sometimes criticise them, since I still cannot return to the game, sicne they havent added S-Boots and/or panzer bailout yet!!! I want..need those before I can return. :p
