Is there any way I can get a trial if I've done one in the past? I have a better computer and more patience these days. The first time around I never really gave the game a chance, but now I'm craving something this style. I've been playing Red Orchestra and having flashbacks from when I still enjoyed Planetside. I've also only got the one credit card so I can't just do a trial on a new account. Couple gameplay questions aswell: As a tanker how are views done? Red Orchestra lets you switch between looking through the slit or popped out the hatch, where you have a restrictive view from the slit but are vulnerable. Do they have something like this in WW2O or do they just have 3rd person view and such? Also for tanks, does it require multiple crew? How spread out do the players tend to be as far as tankers to pilots to infantry? Are there too many or too few in any one of them? I too like to play the less tread path like one of the others in this thread.

There are differnect positions. Driver Gunner, Commander etc and you can move between them. You cannot control the tank if a gunner..fire the gun if a driver..etc. There is a 2 week trial but you need to input a CC. Download is still free. |

Originally posted by Sparre I agree with most of what you said, BUT I completely disagree with the AA gun opinion. Its just the opoposite for me. I am MUCH more effective using a mouse with AA gun than a joystick. |

Sick of the crap on the radio? Try ETN.fm or party107.com |
I've played WWII twice first time I liked it for a few months. Second time it was so jittery I couldn't play. I know it wasn't my pc since I can play other MMO's Crysis, BF2, no probs. Any improvements? |

Since a shoebox game is limited both in player numbers and the size of the map (which have just few objects that has to be loaded and a limited visual distance of a few hundred meters) aren't the graphical demand very high. Shoebox game has also a limited audio range. In other words, you can only hear sounds that isn't further away then maybe just 20-30 meters. Most computers runs shoebox games very nicely. Even older once. You have to remember that WWIIOL has a big game world (biggest there is am I told) with a visual distance of 3000 meter on the ground, and up to 8000 meter in the air, and an audio range of several kilometers for heavy guns and a couple of hundred meters for small caliber weapons. And no limitations of the player numbers. This means that your computer has to load several hundred players at the same time, plus all the buildings and thick vegetations (BF2 has barely any vegetation if you compare the two) and every single bullet and grenade that all is physicla objects will you realize why 1GB memory is the minimum to get descent FPS in this game. In other words, you can't compare a shoebox game with WWIIOL on the same day. |

If quizzes are quizzical, then what are tests? |
Do they not use the swastika for the Nazi era equipment flags ect? I know it's a sensitive subject and the symbol itself is illegal in some European countries. I looked around on the wiki on the main site and I didn't see where they stated if they did. Just curious. |

Since it is illegal in some countries, it is not used. Some find it offensive not in those countries. Nazi references in chat or fourms ect can get you banned. |
