    Those of you dreading the second phase of the Sandstorm patch for fear of having to shell out subscription fees to participate in the game's more MMO-like offerings needn't dread the day any longer. Hi-Rez Studios has announced today that Global Agenda will be dropping the subscription model entirely, instead, it sounds like the developers will be going with a quasi-Guild Wars like model, offering optional paid expansions going forward.

    Hi-Rez Studios wants to know what you think they should do with regards to releasing the highly anticipated 1.3 "Sandstorm" patch for Global Agenda. Hi-Rez has certain aspects of the update complete and ready to go with an ETA of about two weeks, which would leave other features of the patch to arrive later on.   • Version 1.3 "Sandstorm" Hits Test Servers Tonight

    Hi-Rez Studios has announced that version 1.3 of Global Agenda also known as "Sandstorm" will be hitting the public test servers tonight. Preliminary patch notes for the update were also released, however, the entire patch will not be making it onto the test server at once. Instead, Hi-Rez Studios has chosen to release the update to the test servers in phases in order to focus the testing on specific facets of the update.

  • New Server Added

    Hi-Rez Studios has announced that they have set up a new server hardware in Singapore to better server the Pacific Rim community accessing the game. In addition, the Tradewind Territory Zone. which is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 to 12:30 GMT (18:30 to 20:30 in Singapore), will be hosted on the new server hardware. This latest change also marks the switch to a cloud-based computing architecture for Hi-Rez Studios, which will allow the developer to seamlessly add new servers.
