In space, no one can hear a hammer to your head! With that said, welcome to the Free Agent Episode 3 recap. Free Agents is our monthly play session focused on Global Agenda. GA is the Sci-Fi (Spy-Fi) MMORPG with FPS elements from Hi-Rez studios.
In this episode I was joined by Gabriel Mughelli, aka Hi-Rez Mug, Hi-Rez’s local public relations extraordinaire. The viewers have asked for it in the past and in this episode Gabe and I finally hopped in a raid. While I would love to say that we were helpful teammates that would probably be a lie. I think random troll tandem would have been more help. However, I did finally put down the hammer and picked up a gun and we successfully completed the raid.
In addition to a PvE raid we also played through some of the expansion content that was released last September in the Northern Sonoran desert. We encountered a few different types of quests. There are your standard “go and kill 10 bugs and bring back parts to me” quests, but we also took part in quests that required us to defend positions as well as venture into instances and kill the boss. While none of these quest types are ground breaking and redefine the genre, Hi-Rez has done a decent job of trying to mix it up a bit.
While we were not able to talk about it during the episode Hi-Rez has recently released a survey asking players what they would like to see from Global Agenda in the future. This survey raises the possibility of a future expansion for Global Agenda or a direct sequel. You can participate in the survey here.
The following questions are asked:
When is the last time you played?
What is your favorite game mode inside Global Agenda?
Of the two options which would interest you most?
On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely would you be to play a Global Agenda sequel or major expansion (0 is not at all likely and 10 is "exploding with anticipation/can't wait")?
Hypothetically, if a new game or expansion was created that included only some elements of Global Agenda gameplay, which would interest you the most?
If you are a GA fan please take the time to go fill out the survey. Hopefully we can get some new content soon!
Tonight’s Wayback Wednesday will be the first of two back to back episodes that feature Sony Online Entertainment games. This week’s episode will take a look at Vanguard for the first time. Vanguard was the last subscription MMORPG from SOE but finally made the conversion to free to play earlier this month. In next week’s episode we will return for the second time to Everquest and take a look at their new Hero’s Forge feature. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them below. You can also find me on Facebook or reach me at Twitter. As always, thanks for watching!
