The graphics are impressive.  Florensia has a consistant style that is refreshing.  The buildings, characters, background objects, etc. all flow well together.  They reminded me a lot of Zelda on N64. I've noticed that in a lot of the more recent MMO's, some of the graphics look great but don't work well together (like they belong two or more completely different games).  For me this aspect can really detract from the overall submersive experience.  It seems to me Florensia is highly polished in this regards.

I was also pleasently suprised by the interface.  It is very intuitive, carrying most of the common elements everyone is used to seeing.  There really isn't any major learning curves.  The menus are easy to read against the background and the buttons are easily distinguished from the rest of the dialog.  Again, some of the more recent MMO's look like a third grader threw together some cheap looking borders, making the menus clash with the rest of the package.  Florensia is eye-candy all the way through.

Another element I thought was interesting was the fact that everyone has two areas of development.  One, being the character class that you choose at the beginning of the game.  The second, is designing and operating your sea vessel.  No matter what class you choose, once you're in the water everyone is pretty much on an even keel (no pun there) which I'm sure will make for some interesting dynamics.  When you get tired of grinding, you can use the same character in a completely different experience where your chosen class won't hinder you in any way.

No ones forcing you to use the CS. Its completely optional.
