Cryptic Studios has published a new article which looks at the concept of superhero costumes in Champions Online.

Clothes are important, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Our clothing, or our costumes, are our first mode of contact with the outside world. We humans, and superhumans, are very visual creatures (sonic superpowers aside). We look at each other, we make assessments of each other, all before even opening our mouths. When I pull on my superheroing togs, I know that whoever I face that day is going to make judgments on me based on the way I look.

First off, I’m a girly-girl. There’s no point in denying it, so I may as well showcase it. After all, if I can distract my enemy by being cute, I see no reason why I shouldn’t. Work it if you’ve got it, baby! But, there’s no point in sacrificing function for form. I need to be able to move easily and quickly.
