I enjoy grouping, but I don't enjoy having to beg for a group  and inviting myself along with people who obviously would rather not have me.  That's just not fun.  So....how is CO on solo play?

The game is very solo friendly, with the right build only few instances requires team. The last content releases have been designed to be adaptable to the number and level of the team players(including solo). The only thing I would recommend if you want to solo is to avoid making squishy style characters, the more survivability you put into your character the more you can solo.
