After doing this monster dl of almost 4 gbs all I've gotten so far is server not responding. If this is some trick to get me to pay for a less crowded server it won't work. So is it just me and my setup which is actually pretty new or is this common in this game? |

Try the tech support section of the Champions Online forums. Start a new thread and explain your problem. Also run this program and post the results in that thread: http://files.champions-online.com/nettest.exe (If you worry about downloading and running an executable, consider that in trying to run the game, you did the same thing with another executable from the same site.) And while you're at it, post your DxDiag file there. |

Not playing too much as a free player, but game works fine here. Try checking your firewall, it should allow the game to access the internet. -=AlaKraM=- |

I started as a trial player, and stayed since it went F2P. Had to make a new character; still, a lot of the grindage is no longer there. The only other change is the name of the desert's Big Bad is no longer Grond (though Project Greenskin still exists and you still have a date with the desert at some point enroute to level 50). I'm not in CO as much, but not because of the game changes; I just have more games I'm playing. (I'm also prepping for Global Agenda's big Free Agent changeover this month.) |
